A blowoff valve (BOV), dump valve or compressor bypass valve is a pressure release system present in most modern OEM road car applications. Its purpose is to prevent compressor surge / stalling and reduce wear on the turbocharger. These control valves remove the damaging impact of ‘surge loading’ by allowing the compressed air to vent away from the compressor wheel. This discharge can be heard as a distinct ‘dump valve’ hissing sound as it vents to atmosphere or back into the intake depending on the application and ECU airflow regulation. The Fiesta 1.0T Ecoboost uses an inexpensive electronic diverter valve as standard which is prone to failure and inconsistent results when used at higher boost pressure.Plumb Back Kompact Shortie Kit for Ford Fiesta 1.0TStock blow-off valves like those that come standard with the Fiesta 1.0 often suffer from a range of problems. Please note this kit is only compatible with models that do not have a standard turbo mounted diverter valve. This valve is an upgrade for the 2.0 turbocharged M133 DE20 LA (265 kW 355BHP version) engine found in the Mercedes AMG A45 upto 2015. The engine as supplied by AMG has a port for a dump valve on the side of the turbo, but it is blanked off. By combining the proven performance benefits of our ground-breaking DV+ with atmosphere venting, the VTA delivers an aggressive blow-off sound, improved throttle response and boost recovery, as well as superior boost holding and reliability in extreme conditions. The VTA shares the successful DV+ design philosophy: “Keep what works, replace what doesn’t” This means we retain ECU control and the solenoid from the factory diverter to ensure the fastest possible response time, without the added and unnecessary cost of replacing the solenoid like some brands do. The weak part of the factory diverter has always been the plastic valve mechanism – this is the part we replace. The VTA features CNC machined billet components that last a lifetime, and we also change the valve operation method for better performance. The factory diverter valve can only operate in two states – open, or closed. When it opens fully at low boost, or during a partial throttle lift mid-corner, it causes increased lag and a noticeably non-linear boost transition. GFB pioneered the use of “pilot operation” in the DV+, which works by re-purposing the factory solenoid to control the pressure behind the piston rather than the piston itself. This allows the solenoid stroke to be much shorter, speeding up the response time and increasing the actuation force. More importantly, it allows the piston to open and close progressively in response to the amount of boost pressure present, which smooths boost transitions and reduces the lag caused by the factory diverter valve. It is this design philosophy that makes the VTA not only the best performing blow off valve solution, but also the best value on the market. Similar to our early days when Ford released the RS turbo Escort, Forge developed and lead dump valve technology to give the Escort owners the same technology as Cosworth did for the Sierra - with loud whooshes and prolonged turbocharger life, this really is one the favourite modifications for the Ford enthusiasts must have bolt on products. This beautifully crafted high flow charge pipe is for the Ford Fiesta ST MK8 and Ford Puma ST. This product has been created over many days and months of dyno testing and road testing to prove the products credentials. The boost pipes are a direct replacement to the original hot-side charge pipe which is rather restrictive especially at the turbo end. FMBP6 was developed to remove these restrictions and now features a smooth and enlarged bore size creating a vast improvement in air flow and a reduction in pressure drop. Our performance inlet pipe for the Ford Fiesta ST MK8 & Puma ST fits between the air filter and turbo inlet pipe and is a highly visible component of the engine bay, accordingly its available in red, blue, grey and black. This valve kit allows the fitment of a fast response blow off valve on the VW Up 1.0 TSI/GTI engine. As the engine does not have a diverter valve fitted as standard, Forge Motorsport have developed a twin piston dump valve that not only gives you an incredibly loud sound when lifting off the throttle but it also increases the throttle response during gear changes by reducing turbo lag, it is designed to help the turbocharger maintain its rotational speed ready for when you accelerate, as well as prolonging the life of your turbo. Please select the valve and hose colours using the options above. Due to the exposed position of the OEM boost pipe and the nature of an engines heat cycle, the plastic the OEM pipe is made from can deteriorate over time becoming brittle and susceptible to boost leaks. This kit totally replaces this plastic pipe from turbo to manifold with a silicon hose (available in a choice of colours), and everything else you need to install the valve is included in the kit together with full instructions. Anodised CNC machined billet couplers and components along with a tuneable CNC machined twin piston Forge Motorsport valve. Custom colours are available but will incur a 50% none refundable deposit and a lead time of 8-10 weeks. Unlike other valves on the market the Forge valve will not bring on any check engine lights. (EML) The Forge silicone hoses in this kit have been designed to include an expensive inner liner of modified silicone known as Fluorosilicone. The Forge valve will give you a product that is superior in its construction and durability over the OEM valve, and of course the forge is serviceable and guaranteed for life . Over time the OEM valve begins to leak, and in some cases the plastic piston goes brittle and breaks. The Forge valve doesn’t suffer with either of these problems as it uses an aluminium piston and is totally rebuildable. It’s also configurable for different levels of boost pressure e.g. on a remapped car, by simply changing the piston preload spring inside the valve.
