Scorpion Exhausts - GPF Back Exhaust (Multiple Options) Cupra Ateca

Description

Scorpion's R&D team has developed a brand-new GPF-back system range for the CUPRA Ateca. It’s available in resonated or non-resonated, valved or non-valved configurations. We also offer a selection of styles and finishes, including polished or black ceramic Daytona tips and carbon Ascari tips.

GPF-Back System:

Scorpion's expert technicians have developed an 80mm/3.15” GPF-back system with quad 100mm tailpipes specifically for the Cupra Ateca GPF model. Here’s a closer look at the specifications and available options!

This exhaust can be optioned as either resonated (fitted with a centre silencer, which helps reduce drone and provides a more refined sound) or non-resonated (this option removes the original silencer and is louder).

Does our system retain or remove valve functionality? If optioned as valved, drivers will retain control of the car's soundtrack via the mode select button, allowing the ECU to modulate the sound levels from the Scorpion exhaust. Alternatively, with a non-valved system, this functionality is removed, providing a continuous exhaust tone without interruptions from the OEM valve operations.

Once installed, the new freer-flowing GPF-back system ensures efficient expulsion of exhaust gases, improving the vehicle's power delivery and sharpening throttle response while also reducing overall weight.

Tailpipe Styles:

Ascari: Our premium sport option, available exclusively in a matte carbon finish, highlights the distinctive sporty carbon weave. Its two-piece floating construction, with an inner brushed stainless-steel insert, allows hot gases to pass through without discolouring or weakening the outer carbon shell.

Daytona: This design needs no introduction, the classic Scorpion Daytona slash-cut style with a modern twist on a timeless look. The Daytona is a great-looking option for everything from hot hatchbacks to flagship autobahn saloons.

Tailpipe Finishes:

Polished: Premium T304 stainless steel polished trims undergo a meticulous multi-step buffing process, resulting in a long-lasting, mirror-like finish that stays shining.

Black Ceramic: The matte black finish provides a stealthy, modern look. The tailpipes undergo a specialised coating process, ensuring a durable and flawless finish.

Road-Test Review:

During our road test, we extensively evaluated our resonated valved GPF-back system under real-world driving conditions. We found no intrusive drone, and the cabin environment remained audibly refined and tame, offering excellent daily drivability.

For those seeking a punchier tone when flooring it, we recommend our non-resonated option when fitting only the GPF-back system. However, the resonated option is ideal when pairing it with a freer-flowing turbo downpipe. With Sport mode engaged and the throttle pressed, the result was a pleasant, sporty, and enhanced tone throughout the rev range.
