A direct replacement part that offers increases in performance and response, the enlarged turbo inlet elbow features a freer-flowing design with an increased internal diameter.
How it worksThe original elbow begins at 43mm from the turbo inlet and gradually tapers up to just 53mm in diameter as it reaches the induction pipe work. This causes an unnecessary restriction within the intake side that hampers flow and limits throttle response.
Our AIRTEC Motorsport direct replacement cast aluminium elbow gently tapers from the turbo inlet out to a huge 76mm diameter, an increase of over 50% compared to the original and an increase of 106% in cross-sectional area. This increased volume and improved design works to reduce restriction and improve flow to the turbo.
The kit also comes with a 76mm silicone hose ensuring the diameter is maintained all the way to the air box, and includes all fixtures and fittings, as well as detailed instructions.

With improved flow and increased strength over the original plastic items, our charge pipes link the turbos to the charge cooler and are suited to modified BMW M3, M4 and M2 Competition models for track or fast road use.
The pipes have been designed to improve the overall internal dimeter and flow of the original OEM pipes, which flatten considerably where they pass over the top of the engine. The original OEM pipes are also made from a lightweight plastic, and with the increased boost pressures associated with a remap or hybrid turbos, the plastic seams can split and form a hairline crack. This is often invisible to the eye, but it’s an issue that will affect the engine’s performance and the turbos’ longevity.
The AIRTEC Motorsport replacement pipes are constructed from alloy, so they will not fail with higher boost pressures and maintain a 57mm internal dimeter from the start to finish. Both pipes also feature a 1/8NPT port fitting suitable for a methanol injection set up, and the exterior of the pipes are finished in a subtle black powder coat.
The kit features two silicone joiners as well as two CNC-machined connectors to house the original BMW O-rings, with adapters for the replacement fixtures and fittings that come as part of the kit. Fitting takes around 2 hours and the original engine cover can still be fitted in place, but for a perfect fit, we recommend enlarging the apertures slightly, which can be done neatly in order to retain the original look.

Developed in-house at AIRTEC HQ in the UK, we’ve created a comprehensive solution to improving the car’s original pipework to allow more flow and capacity whilst reducing restriction and improving response.
The comprehensive 11-piece kit features three pipes constructed from lightweight aluminium for improved strength so they will not fail with higher boost pressure, six Pro Hoses silicone joiners as well as two CNC-machined connectors to make fitting as simplistic as possible.
On the hot side coming from the turbo, the original pipework is 55mm and features an indented section which restricts flow, where as our enlarged replacement kit features a 60mm internal diameter from start to finish with no restrictions.
For the cold side to the throttle body, the original pipework begins at 55mm and tapers to 63mm in diameter, but out replacement features a 63mm internal diameter throughout, increasing both flow and capacity.

Our AIRTEC Motorsport direct replacement elbow features a CNC-machined flange with a correctly matched 51mm diameter, therefore removing the stepped restriction. The high-quality silicone hose instantly tapers to meet the 63mm diameter intake, therefore allowing the maximum amount of internal flow with increases of nearly 10%.

As part of our expanding Honda Civic FK8 Type R product range, AIRTEC Motorsport is proud to launch our enlarged induction pipe suitable for track or fast road use.
A direct replacement part that offers increases in performance and response, as well as sound and aesthetics, the enlarged induction pipe features a 10mm larger inlet, wider outlet and increased overall internal volume to reduce restriction and improve flow to the turbo.
Made from high quality cast aluminium for a factory look and feel, the larger pipe also features a cast AIRTEC logo in silver and powder-coated black finish for a subtle OEM+ look.
The kit includes a silicone reducer to use with a standard air box as well as a straight silicone connector to use with an uprated induction kit, such as our AIRTEC Motorsport kit.
The comprehensive installation kit includes all fixtures and fittings and detailed instructions.
With valuable performance gains and an improved look to the engine bay, the AIRTEC Motorsport enlarged induction pipe is an essential modification.
