Cobra Sport performance exhausts enhance the sound, looks and quality of your vehicle giving you the ultimate driving experience. Our sports exhausts range is fully guaranteed to give you assurance of our quality. This Audi S3 performance exhaust is made in 3"/76.2mm pipework and fit from the catalytic converter section backwards (Cat-back) these exhausts replace the centre and rear sections. This non-resonated sports exhaust makes the system louder as it excludes the centre silencer and therefore, has a sportier exhaust note. This exhaust is also available as a resonated version (including centre silencer) which is a quieter option. All relevant fittings and gaskets are supplied. Note - The fitted images only show the resonated cat-back system. Please Note - This performance exhaust removes the use of exhaust valves. When switching drive modes (e.g. Comfort to Dynamic mode) your exhaust tone will not change from quieter to louder as before. Using a Non-Valved exhaust will not harm the running of your vehicle, you will simply not have exhaust sound options, however the Cobra Sport exhaust has been designed with this in mind.   COBRA SPORT REVIEW   Cars of the calibre of Audi’s S3 require more careful consideration prior to development of a performance enhancing exhaust system. Both Cobra Sport’s Technical and R&D teams were involved in the planning and preparation that went into the product testing and development of this new system to ensure that the correct balance was achieved between aesthetics and power to make the most of the S3’s 2.0 TFSi engine. The Cobra Sport system delivers significant power increases, but its glory has to be in the weight saving achieved. Swapping the Cat-back system results in a staggering 30% reduction in weight from the OE system’s 26.9kg, with the Cobra Sport alternative weighing in at 18.8kg on like for like components. You can be assured of only the highest quality materials being used in the production of all Cobra Sports exhaust systems with the highest quality grade 304 stainless steel used throughout the components and each exhaust being hand finished and individually TIG welded at our Sheffield factory. RTS unique “Twin Friction” (drive plate) has been developed using a unique flywheel side friction material whilst adopting a segmented pressure plate face. The aramid friction exhibits 50% less wear than a conventional drive plate friction material.This material also reduces the effects of fade. Fade is the decline in the clutch system’s ability to transmit torque as operating temperatures increases. These features in combination with the previously mentioned micro-structure of spheroidal casting and ER2 technology allows the clutch kit to dissipate heat far more effectively, allowing the clutch to run cooler for longer. RTS kit has been designed with a higher clamp load enabling the clutch system to transmit 60% more torque over the standard clutch kit and is suitable for every day driving, fast road and track/circuit racing whilst maintaining user-friendly driving experience.
