Product Details Designed by our in house engineering staff, the ECS Carbon Fiber Engine Cover incorporates beauty with OE function. Made from authentic, hand laid carbon fiber material with pre-impregnated carbon fiber cloth and epoxy resin and finished in a beautiful gloss clear coat for UV-protection and extra durability, this engine cover is sure to be turning heads! An aluminum logo plate is pre-installed on the engine cover and finished in a blasted and clear anodized finish with the ECS Tuning Logo engraved within. Openings within the engine cover allow elegant exposure of the stock or aftermarket ignition coils so you can showcase your beautiful accessories. Installing the ECS Engine Cover is simple! We pre-install the unique engine cover mounting grommets for you, so all you have to do is remove the old plastic cover, and replace with your new ECS Carbon Fiber Engine Cover! *Installation Notes: For vehicles using the factory turbo inlet pipe, a spacer is included for proper engine cover to inlet pipe clearance. Installed where the pipe mounts, it pushes the tube away from the cover. When installing with our ECS Boost Tap (ES#2718328) and using both vacuum nipples, there may be slight interference between the plastic securing clip and the Engine Cover. To correct this, please use low profile clip (ES#25115) to secure the Boost Tap in place of the plastic connector clip. Product Details Replace your fragile plastic oil filter housing with an attractive, durable, 6061-T6 aluminum housing from ECS Tuning. Far stronger than the original, the ECS housing requires no special tools to open the drain plug during an oil change; all you'll need is a common 8 mm Allen wrench. For added convenience, the housing plug sealing ring is identical to the one on the crankcase drain plug, making it easy to source and install new seals for a leak-free job. Place your car securely on a lift, jack stands, or ramps Pop the hood, remove your engine oil cap from the engine bay Drain the oil from the filter housing and the oil drain plug Use a 36mm socket to unscrew the housing from the engine (Schwaben socket – ES240945). Remove the old filter, and install a new one, making sure to transfer the filter retainer to the ECS housing Replace the rubber housing oil ring with the new o-ring contained in the filter kit. Screw the housing on to the engine, and torque to 18 foot pounds. Reinstall the drain plug with new copper ring, and tighten to 22 foot pounds. Add a VW approved 502 / 505 engine oil. Modern direct injection engines are efficient and powerful, but are prone to carbon deposits that build up inside the intake port and on the back-side of intake valves. These deposits rob the engine of power and efficiency. Traditional methods of manually removing these deposits can be difficult, time consuming, and expensive. The 034Motorsport Direct Injection Head Port Cleaning Tool makes short and easy work of removing these deposits from your intake ports and valves. The tool has a small port for a media blasting wand and a large port that connects to a shop vacuum hose. The vacuum generated by the shop vac holds the tool in place up against the intake port, freeing your hands to focus on the media blasting. This valve represents the latest evolution of part number FMFSITAT, and is a hybrid of sorts, that combines our existing full replacement solenoid controlled recirculating valve with our blow-off valve adapter. The result is a full replacement atmospheric blow-off valve that integrates seamlessly with the OEM electronics and results in absolutely no fault codes, no check engine lights, and no detriment to the performance of the vehicle in any way. Like our full replacement recirculating valve option, the FMFSITVR, the FMFSITAT is fully engineered to remedy the failure issues experienced with the OEM solenoid valves when their diaphragm may rupture which would effectively result in a boost leak. Our valve uses full billet alloy construction with a piston based internal design that provides for significantly improved reliability over the OEM valves along with lightning fast response. This valve is particularly well suited to the B7 and B8 chassis Audi A4 and A5 with the 2.0T engine. The valve mounting location on these vehicles is positioned particularly close to the frame rail of the chassis, and the overall installed height of our standard replacement valve and spacer combination is such that it conflicts with the chassis at this location. The FMFSITAT valve has a much shorter overall installed height, which enables fitment of this atmospheric valve option onto the B7 and B8 chassis whereas this was previously not an option. Another particularly unique feature of this product is the included intake manifold tap used to source a vacuum reference for the operation of the valve. This piece also has two other available provisions from which an intake manifold reference can be taken. These extra manifold references can be used for a boost gauge signal, and even a water/meth injection trigger where applicable. If this to be installed to the 1.4 Turbo engine, it will be necessary to additionally purchase our boost sensor adaptor FMBGFK3 - please see below in Related Products. Note: This will ONLY fit the 1.4 turbo engines up to early 2013, where the turbo is mounted at the front of the engine bay.
