This Stage 3 Big Brake Kit takes your braking to an extreme level using parts usually reserved for the high performance vehicles. Designed and engineered by ECS Tuning, this big brake kit will provide an entirely new level of braking performance. When adding more horsepower to your vehicle, it is imperative that you have a way to slow that power down and bring it your vehicle to a stop. One way to do that is to upgrade to larger brake rotors paired with 8-Piston RS5 calipers. Increase cooling capabilities along with greater stopping power. Complete kit for a bolt-on conversion that also includes ECS Tuning's own 2-piece Tru-Float cross drilled/slotted wave rotors, OEM RS5 brake calipers, and exact-fit stainless steel brake lines.
The engineers at ECS Tuning have developed a lightweight directionally vaned 2-piece Tru-Float wave rotor that combines the advantages of weight savings and rapid heat dissipation to provide a rotor superior to stock while preventing warping and extending component life.
Tru-Float Wave Rotor Features Include:
- Weight Savings - The ECS 2-Piece Tru-Float wave rotors reduce unsprung weight and rotational inertia, improving suspension performance. The lightweight precision machined 6061-T6 aluminum hat is hard anodized with an attractive matte black finish that is both durable and corrosion resistant.
- The unique wave pattern further reduces weight at the outer most portion of the rotor, reducing both unsprung weight and more importantly the rotational inertia of the rotor, further improving acceleration and braking performance compared to a non-wave design.
- The full float design allows independent radial and lateral thermal expansion and movement. The radial expansion allows the ring to increase in diameter without being restrained by the hat. The lateral float capacity allows the rotor to self-center between the pads, improving pad wear and reducing drag.
- Improved Cooling - The Tru-Float rotors feature side-specific directionally curved vanes which pump air through the rotor at a higher velocity, leading to consistant, rapid cooling on both sides equally.
With ECS Tuning's stainless steel lines, all of the pressure applied by your right foot makes it's way to the wheels. The stainless steel braided lines do not bulge, so pressure is increased while pedal modulation is drastically decreased.
