After huge demand, Forge have developed the perfect dump valve solution for the Fiesta ST MK8 and Ford Puma ST, two vehicles that Ford launched without an OEM valve included. Similar to our early days when Ford released the RS turbo Escort, Forge developed and lead dump valve technology to give the Escort owners the same technology as Cosworth did for the Sierra - with loud whooshes and prolonged turbocharger life, this really is one the favourite modifications for the Ford enthusiasts must have bolt on products. As the engine does not have a diverter valve fitted as standard, Forge have developed a twin piston dump valve that not only gives you an incredibly loud sound when lifting off the throttle, but also increases the throttle response during gear changes by reducing turbo lag. It has been designed to help the turbocharger maintain its rotational speed ready for when you accelerate, whilst also taking the strain away from the impeller. Without removing this stress from your turbo, it could cause premature failure, especially on tuned engines and modified vehicles. This product has been created over many days and months of dyno testing and road testing to prove the products credentials. The boost pipes are a direct replacement to the original hot-side charge pipe which is rather restrictive especially at the turbo end. FMBP6 was developed to remove these restrictions and now features a smooth and enlarged bore size creating a vast improvement in air flow and a reduction in pressure drop. This valve kit is an evolution of the FMARSDV dump valve we market for the 8P chassis RS3. It was developed for those who have tuned, or plan to tune, their 8S chassis Audi TTRS or 8V chassis Audi RS3 in excess of 450hp. Audi have seen fit to not change the design of the OEM dump valve from the previous RS3, so the same issues are carried over to the new 8V chassis, namely it was observed that cars over 450bhp were randomly getting errors from the stock solenoid dump valve not functioning. Whilst the stock valve will operate as designed, with the boost level necessary for 450bhp the stock valve couldn’t move the volume of air it needed to, so the ECU was seeing too great a positive boost in the MAP readings between gearchanges and assuming the stock valve wasn’t functioning correctly. We looked closely at this issue, and noted that there would be no real fix for this as the size of the hole for the valve is too small in the stock elbow. We decided that we would re-design and produce our own elbow, allowing a much larger DV port, which in turn would allow fitment of a larger valve to take advantage of it. We also improved the internal flow of the elbow and removed restriction within the valve. This Recirculation valve (quiet in operation) is for the BMW 235 3.0 Petrol Turbo engine, as found in the F22 chassis model that has a single electronically controlled bypass valve. This product is recommended for both unmodified vehicles and any vehicle where the boost pressure has been increased by an ECU software upgrade, as a replacement to the OEM bypass valve. Unfortunately the standard valve fails when the plastic deteriorates with age normally resulting in a check engine light. Unfortunately the valve may still partially function, so you may not be aware that you are losing power due to this.
