Why buy the Forge Fiat 500 dump valve? The Forge valve will give you a product that is superior in its construction and durability over the OEM valve, and of course the forge is serviceable and guaranteed for life . Over time the OEM valve begins to leak, and in some cases the plastic piston goes brittle and breaks. The Forge valve doesn’t suffer with either of these problems as it uses an aluminium piston and is totally rebuildable. It’s also configurable for different levels of boost pressure e.g. on a remapped car, by simply changing the piston preload spring inside the valve. This product is either recommended where the boost pressure has been increased by an ECU software upgrade, for those wanting a loud blow off sound, or simply as a solution to the many failures that have occurred. This prevents the diaphragm from sealing with the same problems as mentioned above. Blow Off Valve for Hyundai Genesis Sonata and Kia Sportage and Optima. The Forge direct replacement blow-off valve is designed to be a more durable and performance oriented valve than the OEM unit. The OEM valve is suitable for stock boost levels for a period of time, however, once boost pressure is raised, and after prolonged use, the stock valve will no longer be adequate. Raising the boost output of the vehicle will have a number of effects on the OEM valve. First and foremost, the additional boost pressure will quickly exceed the capacity of the OEM spring to keep the valve closed under higher boost levels. Since you cannot change the springs in the OEM valve, it cannot be adjusted for higher boost levels. Secondly, the additional heat generated by the increased boost will quickly deteriorate the OEM rubber valve diaphragm, which will also lose strength with repeated oscillations. The Forge valve uses full billet aluminum construction and Viton silicone o-rings that will withstand the highest boost levels and repeated abuse. It is also tunable for varying boost levels with the included spring tuning kit. If there is ever a problem with the valve such as a torn o-ring, replacements are available free of charge, and the valve is fully rebuildable. As the Genesis Coupe 2.0T does not use a MAF (mass air flow) sensor, there is no reason that the residual boost pressure at throttle lift cannot be vented to the atmosphere such as with this valve. The engine management does not meter the air volume entering the engine, so this residual pressure can be discharged without any adverse affects on the performance or driveability of the vehicle. Additionally, the valve being open at an idle or vacuum condition is a normal occurance, and is not indicative of a leaking valve. If the intake manifold is in vacuum, even while cruising at speed, the valve may be open. The OEM valve operates in this same manner, however, it is just not visible/audible because it is recirculating instead of vented to the atmosphere. Using a stiffer spring to keep the valve closed at a vacuum condition may result in too stiff of a spring tension to effectively discharge pressure at a throttle lift condition. This is a replacement for OEM Part Number 06N.145.710.B Forge Motorsport is proud to release the latest version of our very popular solenoid driven valve for the 2021-on VAG 2.0 TSI engine (engine codes DNP & DNFB). This valve is a full replacement atmospheric blow-off valve (i.e. noisy) that integrates seamlessly with the OEM electronics and results in no detriment in performance, and absolutely NO fault codes or check engine lights, which isn’t something that can be said of our competition! Now you can fine tune your Blow Off/Diverter Valve to the exact needs of your engine with this complete tuning kit. If you are finding that the valve is dumping more than required, or if you are losing boost pressure it is normally an indication that a stronger spring is required. Alternatively, if the valve is failing to dump it may be necessary to install a weaker spring. Please note that fitting a stronger spring into a valve will not increase boost pressure, unless existing pressure is being lost. Failure to allow the valve to operate by installing a spring which is too strong, may cause damage to the turbocharger. Please also note that the red coded springs should not be installed in the DVR or DV007 diaphragm valves. This kit features a Forge Ram Air high flow, pleated, synthetic nanofiber filtration filter, that has been manufactured for optimum size and fit to the available space giving superior flow and filtration with enhanced breathing for the 1.5 turbo charged engine. It also features a larger surface area than the stock filter and many competitors’ alternatives. The intake diameters on these air intakes have been carefully tuned to provide exactly the correct quantity of air ensuring solid consistent power gains throughout the rev range without any loss of low-end torque. The pipework is specifically designed to feed the turbo without interruption. The benefit of this is a gain of induction acoustics under acceleration, which improves the driving experience and adds a bit more drama to the TSI EVO engine. Left hand drive intake Right hand drive intake As with all our intakes we design, high air flow is considered absolutely paramount, thus, we endeavoured to incorporate a large bore silicone high flow pipe with turbo inlet adaptor included. This helps to aid the engines performance and air flow in several ways. Designed in a similar way to a conventional velocity stack, it routes the air more directly into your turbo charger and allows more air than the stock inlet tract to be compressed due to its larger capacity. This can have a positive effect on accelerating your vehicle after long deceleration or between gear changes as more air is being kept within the intake system. The Forge developed inlet tract has more than a 50% increase in volume with the area at the mouth of the turbo increased to 46%. This, combined with no internal baffles or noise restrictors gives a helping hand to the vehicles acoustic notes and throttle response. With the use of Solidworks®, our CAD engineers have designed the heat shroud to fit round all the contours of the engine bay. This shroud combined with our specially formulated thermal coatings protects the intake from radiant heat while also guiding the cold air from the OE cold air ducting to the filter and housing. All of the billet components supplied have been made from 6082 Alloy and then anodised to ensure the alloy has no fatigue and stays without corrosion for years to come. This valve kit allows the fitment of a fast response blow off valve on the VW Up 1.0 TSI/GTI engine. As the engine does not have a diverter valve fitted as standard, Forge Motorsport have developed a twin piston dump valve that not only gives you an incredibly loud sound when lifting off the throttle but it also increases the throttle response during gear changes by reducing turbo lag, it is designed to help the turbocharger maintain its rotational speed ready for when you accelerate, as well as prolonging the life of your turbo.
