      Product DescriptionWhen looking to fit our carbon fibre induction kit FMINDK47 to a 2019 onwards VAG group vehicle that is powered by a DNWA 2019 onwards, you may find that the diverter valve hose to the DV elbow requires an adaptor. Earlier models utilise a straight silicone hose joiner, however these later models use a rectangular joiner. FMBH8 is designed to fit USDM and ROW vehicles that typically use this type of diverter valve hose, whereas European and UK spec vehicles tend to use a straight silicone hose. To identify which you need, please use the reference image below to help identify what variant you have.  If you have the same as the image on the left, you will require FMBH8 to enable fitting of the Forge Motorsport Intake FMINDK47   FMBH8 uses a 6082 billet Aluminium joiner fully CNC machined by our engineers at our Gloucester HQ in the UK which is then anodised for surface protection.     Developed, designed, and influenced from our direct involvement with BTCC and success with the Hyundai i30N, we are proud to release an oil cooling solution for the Hyundai Kona N. This oil cooler radiator is lifted straight from our motorsport department, so we know that this product performs well, and has been proven in several race events and winning vehicles over the past years. The cores are durable enough to last full race seasons and are perfect for fast road and track use. The cooler has now also been utilised in both of our other Hyundai oil cooling solutions and cleverly redesigned for a 100% plug and play solution for the Kona N. During our time developing world leading products for the Kona N, we found a significant flaw with the vehicle, especially when tuned, just as we did with the I30N. Oil temperatures can climb to dangerous levels when on track or when driven hard in hotter climates. Rising oil temperatures will result in only one outcome: a reduction of sufficient lubrication of your engines internal components, which, in due course, can potentially lead to engine damage. We saw oil temperatures reduce significantly during the development of this product when locating the oil cooler heat exchanger at the front of the vehicle’s radiator grill, this allowed for superior air flow. FMOC14 is a must-have product for the keen driver to protect their vehicles longevity, and perform safely and reliably. Unlike many oil cooler kits on the market, FMOC14 keeps the factory oil to water cooler in position - this essentially doubles your engines oil cooling.     When looking at the B58 engine within the M140i/240i/340i/440i engine bay it’s clear that BMW had left some room for modification within the inlet tract, the sound resonator and accordion ribs cause significant turbulence to the airflow causing a detriment to the engine’s potential performance. By removing these, and replacing it with five-ply silicone construction you gain a host of performance upgrades, including: Significant power gain of over 9bhp engine power and 7nm of torque. Improved induction noise. Multi ply silicone construction improves longevity of FMINLH25 over that of the OEM hose. 5 ply silicone construction will be able to handle strain of engine mapping far better than OEM hose. From the dyno graph shown, performance gains can be expected from 4500RPM to the red line with +9BHP and +7NM of torque at peak RPM. Not only is FMINLH25 a functional improvement, but with it being available in black and red this product really helps to improve the aesthetics of the engine bay. One major difference of FMINLH25 is the diameter of the hose at the airbox end. Usually this is 85mm diameter, however FMINLH25 is 90mm diameter, and uses a silicone reducer sleeve so that it fits the OEM airbox correctly. This increase of 5mm diameter allows the inlet hose to be used with a wider variety of airbox/intake systems while also increasing the volume and de-restricting the flow of the OEM part,     This product is a direct fit for the OEM part 13718601682 (just the turbo inlet to airbox section).       Similar to many of the newer VAG engines, the latest 1.0 TSI power plant is not equipped with a diverter valve fitted as standard, Forge Motorsport has developed a twin piston dump valve that not only gives you a loud audible sound when lifting off the throttle, but also increases the throttle response during gear changes by reducing turbo lag. It has been designed to help the turbocharger maintain its rotational speed ready for when you accelerate, whilst also taking the strain away from the impeller. Without removing this stress from your turbo, it can lead to premature failure especially on remapped engines and modified vehicles.       This valve kit allows the fitment of our fast response blow off valve preventing turbo surge and prolonging the life of your engine’s turbocharger. The kit includes all the necessary hardware and step by step installation instructions for any car enthusiast with appropriate garage tools to fit at home, in just a couple of hours!  Due to the exposed position of the OEM boost pipe and the nature of heat cycle, the plastic that the OEM pipe is made from can deteriorate over time, becoming brittle and susceptible to boost leaks.     Forge Motorsport have a worldwide reputation of making industry leading parts for an array of performance vehicles; as such we’ve been able to work with some of most knowledgeable professionals in the tuning industry to produce the most versatile Audi RS3 performance intake on the market. 3D scans of left-hand drive (LHD) and right-hand drive (RHD) RS3 8Y’s and RS3 8V’s gave us 4 separate vehicle scans that we could then pull together into one file that has allowed us to create one intake that fits all 4 variations. So, no matter where you’re based in the world or whether you have an 8V or 8Y RS3, the Forge Motorsport FMINDK47 is the intake for you.   Trying to ensure that our performance intake is a one fit all solution also involved an understanding of how turbo inlets vary across the globe for the RS3 market. The OEM turbo elbow is an aluminium cast part with a 3” inlet tract that tapers down to the factory turbo charger cold side feed. Forge Motorsport offer and manufacture an upgraded silicone inlet elbow and turbo inlet adaptor (FMINLH9) not only to increase the area to the inlet tract but also the volumetric capacity. This has been increased to 3.5”and is the largest available product that fits RHD vehicles (due to space constraints with the brake master cylinder and is not physically possible to increase this size any further). However, this is not a problem on LHD vehicles, and as such there are various 4” variants available. To ensure our intake will work in conjunction with either the stock or any aftermarket inlet elbows on RHD or LHD vehicles we’ve incorporated an innovative solution that will be interchangeable if you wish to further enhance the engine performance of your Audi.  FMINDK47 incorporates and includes modular couplers so that it can fit any size turbo inlet you may choose to run. The machined end of the carbon intake where it meets the inlet tract to the elbow has a 4”(102mm) threaded billet attachment which tapers up to the huge 6” pleated filter on the intake side. At this billet alloy junction, it enables the end user to have interchangeable adaptors. Having this amount of adjustment with a vast increase in airflow allows this product to be suitable for stock or aftermarket turbo inlet solutions whether manufactured from silicone or aluminium. This enables the enthusiast to interchange the adaptors depending on if its currently stock or modified. FMINDK47 will support your RS3 to literally any state of tune.   Keeping inlet air temperatures (IAT’s) low is often a difficult part of developing induction systems, and several different variations were tested with FMINDK47. We decided on keeping the OEM air inlet to feed a specifically designed heat shield which sits flush up to the bonnet. An opening on the side opposite to the engine also helps with vehicles running stage 3+, as there is indirect airflow to this area and during testing a fully closed airbox caused restrictions.   Using carbon fibre brings obvious benefits of strength, weight, and aesthetics. However, a part that is often forgotten is its low thermal conductivity, which means it reduces heat soak and transmission of heat to nearby items. Replacing metal or plastic inlet solutions for FMINDK47 will help decrease IAT’s and increase the volume of air supplied to your vehicles engine that is compressed by the turbo charger. This has a better effect on performance when cool as this is to provide the engine with more oxygen (denser air), thus improving the combustion in each cylinder. In addition, by regulating and reducing the air temperature, it also increases the reliability of an engine by keeping the AFRs (air fuel ratios) in each cylinder at a safe level, which in turn, can increase an engines power due to the air being cooler. A bigger bang is then created within the cylinder, providing the correct amount of fuel is added. This can equate to an increase in BHP and torque.  We use SolidWorks CAD, 3D prints, and numerous dyno sessions to truly unlock the power. Simulation testing played a large part in the design process to help maximise the airflow. The 3D printed prototypes helped with comparing our simulation testing to real world driving conditions. This is a valuable comparison that is used in the top tiers of motorsport, now being brought to your vehicle. Being able to test 3 different 8Y RS3’s on 3 different independent dynos has been of vital importance to our development process. One of these RS3’s was (at the time of writing) the fastest 8Y RS3 in the world making 682Whp with FMINT33, FMINLH9, FMINDK47 installed along with a TTE777 Hybrid Turbo charger, this proves the FMINDK47 has great CFM airflow ratings over the standard intake system on vehicles with such a high state of tune.   The other vehicles tested were a UK RHD 8Y running FMINT33. We then changed out from the OEM turbo inlet to FMINLH9 to confirm the differences in BHP with these extra modifications. We were also able to test on a LHD 8Y that was completely stock.   With a completely stock tune vehicle we were able to see peak gains of 6BHP. However further analysis of the dyno graph shows that this peak BHP figure was produced 200RPM earlier (6097RPM instead of 6298RPM). Additionally, the power curves were smoothed across the entirety of the rev range, with gains seen across the board. To pull out some snapshots from the rev range as examples, at 3000RPM using just FMINDK47 saw an increase of 25BHP, and at 4500RPM there was an increase of 17BHP. Torque figures saw similar gains across the rev range, with a peak torque figure increasing by 17NM at around 100RPM earlier. When we analyse the dyno graph across the rev range, at 3000RPM using just FMINDK47 saw an increase in 55NM and at 4500RPM there was an increase of 23NM.   The gains lower in the rev range are truly impressive from a driver perspective this is where the benefits can be felt and is what typically puts you in your seat when the throttle is pressed. Vehicles with a stock tune, FMINLH9 and FMINT33 already installed hit a torque limiter earlier in the rev range with the addition of FMINDK47, which in turn can limit peak power results due to the engines ECU limiting power transmitted to the gearbox. So, if you have these three products installed, we highly recommend looking to tune your vehicle to really maximise the performance of the modifications installed. It’s worth remembering that this is with a stock ECU and no tune. We know from the independent testing we also completed on mapped cars (such as KSF’s) that the Forge Motorsport products create unparalleled performance.  It’s worth noting that this induction kit offers a massive amount of air to the EA855 EVO DAZA or DNWA engine, which is a must for anyone looking to push the performance of their RS3 when tuning to stage 1, stage 2, and beyond. The kit is a full plug and play solution, with a replacement cast turbo inlet adaptor, CNC machined hose couplers, and a silicone high flow inlet hose. Available in a choice of Black, Red, and Performance Blue, the TIA11 will not only increase your Hyundai’s performance, but it also transforms the look and aesthetics of your vehicle’s engine bay.   The size of the inlet elbow has increased by over 170% to maximise the amount of air that can physically flow to the turbo from the inlet tract. The OEM factory alloy cast elbow is small, so we knew that this would be the key component to target as tuners start to increase the boost levels and performance output of the 1.6l turbocharged combustion engine. As well as this, the plastic OEM inlet hose has ribs and steps within the bore, causing detrimental turbulence while disturbing and slowing the airflow. By removing the ribs and steps, the larger Forge Motorsport silicone turbo inlet hose reduces the amount of turbulence over the standard item, enabling better airflow. Why do we use silicone? In the development process we tested an oversized aluminium pipe and found that it started to show signs of heat soak, this had a detriment to the impressive initial power gains. We also found after the third pull on the Dyno, the alloy pipe conducted too much heat on this application and started to decrease the gains. When using silicone, heat cannot be conducted as well, therefore even after six pulls, the silicone hose stayed at a steady temperature and did not decrease the power whatsoever. The inlet pipe fits directly to the factory airbox along with our FMINDK45 performance intake solution. The turbo inlet adaptor improves your vehicles airflow in several ways; designed in a similar way to a conventional velocity stack, it routes the air directly into your turbo charger and allows more air to be compressed due to its larger capacity, this has a positive effect when accelerating your vehicle after long deceleration, or in-between gear changes, due to more air being kept within the intake system. Dyno Results Testing was completed using Performance Remap in Gloucester with their VTEC 4-wheel drive dynamometer, this was to ensure all our data is achieved with results as accurately as possible by an independent tuner. As you can see from the dyno results below, peak power was increased from stock by nearly 7 BHP and 12NM of torque when mated to the OEM airbox and standard factory filter. The best news is that there are significant gains across the entire rev range, meaning that the car will pick up quicker and pull the whole way through to redline. TIA11 also benefits from a 17NM of power gain between 2500 RPM and 3000 rpm, this is right as the power comes in and can really change the feel and power delivery when behind the wheel. To compliment the turbo inlet, it can be matched to our induction kit FMINDK45. As you can see below this gave an increase of 12BHP and a torque increase of 20NM both at peak. These two products really do complement each other superbly both in conjunction, and as standalone modifications. After installing a tuning box, or re-calibrating the ECU with stage one or two tunes, the performance yields can be expected to be a lot higher than the figures stated.     Developed from our direct involvement with BTCC and success with the previous generation I30N, Forge Motorsport is proud to release an oil cooler kit for the Hyundai i30N MK3.5. This oil cooler radiator is lifted straight from our motorsport department, so we know this component performs extremely well, as well as the cores tough and durable construction. Next stage was to design a kit incorporating this core which will fit the i30N Mk3.5 perfectly - the result is a bespoke oil cooler kit with true motorsport development behind it. During our time developing new products for the second generation i30N we found a significant floor with the vehicle especially when tuned. Oil temperatures can climb to dangerous levels when on track or when driven hard in hotter climates, The rising oil temperatures change the viscosity potentially thinning the oil, this will result in only one outcome, a reduction of sufficient lubrication of your engines internal components. Therefore, the FMOC13 is a must have product for the keen driver. The location of the oil cooler at the front of the vehicle’s radiator grill allows for superior air flow. During our development of this product, we have seen oil temperatures reduced significantly. Unlike many oil cooler kits, the FMOC13 keeps the factory oil to water cooler in position. This essentially doubles your engines oil cooling. This new product is not to be confused with a universal oil cooler. FMOC13 has a laser cut aluminium bracket which makes for perfect fitment to the i30N crash bar and has an incorporated side ducting which guides air flow through the core.
