Made specifically for the OEM MK7 1.8T/2.0T Gen3 turbochargers, this blanket fits like a glove! Don't be fooled by lesser quality alternatives from other suppliers. These are made in the USA by a world leader in insulation technologies with American-made quality materials and workmanship! The sole purpose of insulating the turbine housing (exhaust driven impeller) of your turbocharger is to contain the massive amounts of radiant heat that is expelled by the super hot exhaust gasses within. By containing the heat within the turbine housing, overall engine efficiency is improved and component life can be extended on other nearby parts. Expect lower intake air temps than before as the associated induction parts are no longer being heat soaked to such a high degree by the hot turbocharger. Turbocharger response time is also improved (less turbo lag) as the heat energy is contained within the turbine housing. By containing all the heat energy within the turbine housing, this creates more pressure, more pressure is more energy, more energy available to spin the turbocharger faster in the lower RPM range! Made right here in the U.S.A. by a world leader in turbo blanket technologies and manufacturing. The exterior layer is crafted from heat treated fiberglass, then bonded with molten aluminum and then molded into a tight weave per our specifications for added resiliency. The inner layer is made from a high temperature resistant Silica that is good for temps up to 1,800° F! "Other" options on the market today use polyglass materials rated to only 700° F! Nowhere near high enough for turbine housing temps! Ours has seen 10's of thousands of miles on many cars without failure! Product Details Are you looking to upgrade your MK4 1.8T ignition system? Look no further. ECS Tuning offers a 2.0T coil pack conversion for you 1.8T. The engineers at ECS Tuning spent countless hours designing the perfect conversion plate for the 1.8T. This beautiful unique conversion plate spans all the way across the top of the 1.8T valve cover and is designed to accept our own ECS coil pack hold downs (Available separately or in our stage 2 kits). Our conversion plate is secured to the valve cover using 8 stainless steel allen head screws that sit flush into the plate when installed giving it a seamless look. The CNC machined plate was engineered and manufactured to seamlessly integrate the 2.0T coil packs onto the 1.8T engine. This stage 1 kit includes our custom powder coated wrinkle black conversion plate and stainless steel bolts. The ECS engineers taking it a step further, have also included a simple installation kit to properly relocate your vacuum reservoir. Our in-house designed and engineered High Flow Intercooler Pipe Kit features mandrel bent, bead rolled, powdercoated aluminum plumbing from the outlet of the compressor housing directly to the throttle body along with smoother flowing silicone couplers, stainless steel T-Bolt clamps and all new installation accessories for an easy, direct bolt on installation. Product Details This Schwaben Multi-Function kit has every thing you need to fill your ATF / DSG, CVT system, or any other oil or fluid. It will also quickly pressure brake bleed your brake system. Adapters to do both are included. Kit has a long 60" hose with swivel fitting on one end and shut off valve with quick coupler on the other. Every adapter in this kit has a quick coupler nipple that snaps into coupler on hose. Tank has 0-30 psi gauge and a built in pressure relief valve. Do not exceed 20 PSI. The ECS billet aluminum boost tap adds 2 possible vacuum ports for your 3.0T boost specific needs. This boost tap was designed and engineered in-house specifically for the 3.0T. Built to simply replace the plastic spacer between the supercharger and the discharge tube, the billet aluminum boost tap will not heat harden and crack like plastic T-fittings. Are you looking to add more than one vacuum assisted accessory to your 3.0T? No problem! The ECS Tuning 3.0T boost tap kit includes 2 possible vacuum ports to tie into when needed. If you only want to run one accessory all you have to do is install the included set screw to block off the other port. In the case of the factory turbo inlet pipe, mounted between the compressor housing and air intake hose, its purpose is to channel air from the inlet hose into the turbocharger inlet, all while reducing engine bay acoustics and sacrificing quality materials in favor of cheap molded plastic material. With the ECS Big Bore Turbo Inlet Pipe, the factory inlet pipe is removed and replaced with our straight-through, high flow cast aluminum inlet. ECS Tuning ECS TUNING - Billet Aluminum Oil Filter Housing Kit - Silver Anodized
Product Details Replace your fragile plastic oil filter housing with an attractive, durable, 6061-T6 aluminum housing from ECS Tuning. Far stronger than the original, the ECS housing requires no special tools to open the drain plug during an oil change; all you'll need is a common 8 mm Allen wrench. For added convenience, the housing plug sealing ring is identical to the one on the crankcase drain plug, making it easy to source and install new seals for a leak-free job. Place your car securely on a lift, jack stands, or ramps Pop the hood, remove your engine oil cap from the engine bay Drain the oil from the filter housing and the oil drain plug Use a 36mm socket to unscrew the housing from the engine (Schwaben socket – ES240945). Remove the old filter, and install a new one, making sure to transfer the filter retainer to the ECS housing Replace the rubber housing oil ring with the new o-ring contained in the filter kit. Screw the housing on to the engine, and torque to 18 foot pounds. Reinstall the drain plug with new copper ring, and tighten to 22 foot pounds. Add a VW approved 502 / 505 engine oil.
