2.0 TSI DSGgearbox oil cooler For DQ 250 6-speed and DQ381 7-speed It's not just your engine oil that you need to protect. Your DSG gearbox is very susceptible to overheating, leading to protection mode that reduces engine power and eventually prevents gear selection. Why fit theDSG oil cooler kit? Our unique DSG Oil Cooler Kit is an essential fit for any hard-driven MQB 2.0 TSI car running high power levels or in hot climates. It's a complete ready to install package, using a clever sandwich plate design for straightforward and completely reliable installation. Transferring more power and torque through the DSG gearbox generates ever more heat to dissipate. Significantly increased oil temperatures means only one thing: a decrease in the ability for your DSG box to stay properly cooled, eventually causing power drop and gear selection issues. Under hard driving, the factory DSG oil/water cooler is easily overwhelmed. Problems start to occur when oil cannot dissipate its collected heat fast enough and the oil begins to thin and degrade - losing its lubrication properties. When this happens, the DSG will protect itself and begin to lower the engine torque, increase shift times and eventually loose gear selection. ooThe RacingLine kit solves this problem: by adding in an additional air/oil cooler positioned right in the airflow at the front of the car, oil temperatures are reduced by around 15 - 20 degrees centigrade (of course dependant on how the car is being used, ambient temps and state of tune). The kit uses a clever design which retains the factory oil/water cooling and adds to it with the thermostatically-controlled front-mounted cooler - doubling up your cooling capability when it's needed with less heat transfer into the water system. Only when the oil exceeds normal temperatures, the thermostat opens. Oil temperature then drops significantly as it is pumped through the densely packed fins of the 10-row cooler’s large surface area mounted right in the cool airflow. HIGH EFFICIENCY COOLER Our 10-row stacked plate design efficiently forces the hot oil through a series of aluminium pressed plates. As you’d expect, the RacingLine DSG Oil Cooler is a beautifully detailed complete kit, developed exclusively for MQB cars with either DQ250 6-speed or DQ381 7speed DSG gearbox. The system is designed for straightforward fitting and ultimate reliability. Everything needed for perfect fitment is included. Unlike other DSG oil cooler kits, the RacingLine package keeps the oil/water cooler and adds to it with the oil/air cooler 10 row stacked-plate oil cooler radiator, flowed to obtain maximum heat dissipation without undue pressure drop Optimum front mounted location behind left side front lower grill aperture with all necessary brackets and fixing kit supplied 210 Series stainless steel, nylon braided feed and return lines run past the chassis leg into the bumper cavity, then connecting to the oil cooler core DOUBLE COOLING. Our DSG Cooler design is a unique design: it retains the factory oil/water gearbox cooling system, plus adds our oil/air cooling as well. Why? The DSG oil will still quickly warm up from the hot water in the engine's coolant system, reaching full operating temperature as soon as possible. But that's where the problem begins on a hard-driven car. The hot engine coolant will now have little to no cooling effect on the DSG oil, and gearbox temps start to rise rapidly. That's the point at which our sophisticated thermostatic control valve inside the adaptor block will then divert hot oil out to the new 10-row cooler located in the cool fresh air flow. After the cooled transmission oil returns from the cooler, it carries less heat to be absorbed into the engine coolant system - helping control all the temperatures under the bonnet. Our replacement oil/water cooler (that's the silver part in the picture) is lower in height than the factory one. So the total height of both parts still fits perfectly under the battery location above it. When oil temperature reaches 138°C/280°F, the DSG's control system initiates a reduction in engine torque, meaning a serious drop in performance. Carry on driving, and if temperatures then rise above 145°C/293°F, your DSG clutches no longer get the fluid pressure they require and you loose drive altogether as the box goes into a safety mode. If you're in a hot climate this can happen after only about 15 minutes at the track - meaning a long wait while your gearbox cools down again. PRECISION ENGINEERED FOR PERFECT PERFORMANCE. Our precision-engineered, Propshaft Bearing Alignment Kit centralises the factory centre support bearing carrier by cutting out the enlarged factory hole tolerances. Meaning your propshaft is held in perfect true orientation at all times. The oversize holes on the factory brackets are designed to allow several degrees of ‘twist’ on the centre bearing carrier, causing unnecessary long-term stresses on the prop, bushes and bearings. That may be great to help the factory with quick production-line assembly, but will lead to accelerated wear on the bush and rubber housing from misalignment. Every hard launch & shift provokes movement in the drivetrain – over time this risks shifting the factory prop mount out of alignment. This simple alignment kit reduces the bolt hole size down from M14 to M8, allowing no further twist from the brackets and ensuring that your prop cannot move from this position. ADJUSTABLEDROP LINKS. RACE-PROVEN FOR YOUR ROAD CAR. The RacingLine Adjustable Droplinks are an essential upgrade to any lowered or performance car. WHAT THEY DO. If you’ve lowered your car, our Adjustable Drop Links are an essential upgrade to zero the pre-load on your anti-roll bar geometry, plus add stiffness and precision by replacing the stock rubber joints with ball joints. The drop link attaches the front anti roll bar ends to the front damper. The OEM links were made the length they are for a reason - to compliment the standard ride height. But when you lower ride height, the car will now be pulling your anti roll bar ends up, pushing it out of its operating window, and forcing the link to sit at a sharper angle. Solid, motorsport-spec ball joint ends mean much more direct response when turning in to corners. These links were developed for our race cars to allow the anti roll bar to work the way it should. Adjusting the height of droplinks to the equivalent of the lowering amount is a must. Available in two lengths: 250mm for almost all applications. Or, 200mm length for cars running our TrackSport suspension or any other coilover kit with adjustable sway-bar perch. ADJUSTABLE 30mm of adjustable length to zero preload on the Anti Roll Bar. Our Rear Sway Bar End Links replace the soft factory rubber bushings with their weak plastic bodies with these beautifully engineered adjustable aluminium billet replacements.Designed with one aim in mind: to help achieve optimum suspension performance and geometric accuracy, and thus increase the effectiveness of your rear anti-roll bar. Each heavy-duty, high-articulation rear droplink attaches the rear anti roll bar ends to the lower suspension arm. Replacing the failure-prone, weak plastic OEM links with our rigid billet aluminium links greatly reduces flex and allows a sharp, uncompromised transfer of suspension movement through to the sway bar. As well as the link itself, extra stiffness and precision comes from replacing the flex-prone stock plastic ball joint with motorsport-spec ball joints. An especially valuable upgrade on older, higher mileage cars. Fully adjustable by +/- 5mm to zero the pre-load on the anti-roll bar geometry. Clever design means that adjustment can be carried out at both ends whilst the droplinks are in-situ, making neutral positioning much easier. Direct replacement – can be used with either factory or Aftermarket rear anti roll bar, and returned to standard at any time. ADJUSTABLE When you lower ride height, the geometry will now be adding preload to your anti roll bar. It's vital to adjust this back to neutral with the +/- 5mm adjustment built-in. Racingline Audi Mk2 TT 2.0 Air Intake System This Racingline cold air intake system has been developed exclusively for the 2.0 TFSI K03 engine – meaning that fitting is straight forward and the original mounting points are retained. The Trifoam filter construction, a triple-layer laminate of open-cell polyurethane foam, which gives an exceptionally high level of filtration, the very same technology as some Formula One engines use. With efficient filtration and huge filter surface area means power and torque gains support higher power remaps, and can even show an economy improvement. This is a ‘lifetime’ filter, so never needs replacement in normal service. Cleaning is only required every 20,000 miles (30,000km) in normal usage. This Racingline Cold air intake is hand-built in the UK, using the highest quality materials and construction. With regards to sound quality you will hear the rich induction noise from this race-bred intake as soon as you accelerate hard. However, as a fully-enclosed intake, volume levels are well-contained.
