Turbosmart Upgraded Wastegate Actuators have been developed to provide maximum possible boost response for your factory frame turbocharger. The Turbosmart IWG75 Series of upgraded Actuators benefit from an increased ‘Working Ratio’ over the factory equipment resulting in improved boost response, throughout the RPM range. DUAL PORT - TS-0203-1064 The Turbosmart Kompact Shortie VR08 suits the 2016 Ford Focus RS. This easy-to-install replacement for the fragile plastic OEM blow-off valve offers improved turbo response and reduced compressor surge. The Dual Port is a 50-50 recirculation/vent-to-atmosphere valve for that classic vent-to-atmosphere sound at significant boost and quiet operation at low boost. The Kompact Shortie Blow Off Valve for the Focus RS has been developed with the Focus’s high boost pressure in mind to improve performance and durability. Plastic OEM blow-off valves like those on the RS have a track record of failures – they leak and become brittle with age until they eventually crack, causing severe problems. Producing around 23 PSI of boost pressure in standard form, the Focus is already pushing the boundaries of its standard plastic blow-off valve – and there’s not much room to turn the boost up before the standard valve struggles to keep up. Turbosmart’s Kompact Shortie is constructed of billet aluminium rather than plastic. Its brass piston is solid and light, and each BOV is individually matched with the right piston to ensure the best fit, meaning there’s no need for an O-ring to seal the body against the piston. This gives the Shortie unsurpassed durability and responsiveness, requiring less maintenance than aftermarket BOVs that use piston-sealing O-rings. The Kompact Shortie for the Focus RS can be used in Dual Port and Plumb Back versions. The Plumb Back is a fully recirculating blow-off valve that offers a similar sound volume to the standard valve, so you can have all the performance of a Turbosmart blow-off valve while flying under the radar. The Dual Port features a split operation between recirculating and venting to the atmosphere, providing quiet operation at low boost and head-turning vent-to-atmosphere sound at high boost – a great complement to the Focus’s rally fighter character. The Kompact Shortie for the Focus RS features enlarged ports compared to previous Shorties, giving the RS the flow it needs. These direct replacement blow-off valves offer an easy performance improvement without needing custom fabrication or special tools. It’s yet another addition to Turbosmart’s ever-expanding range of parts for Ford’s latest EcoBoost range of vehicles. PLUMB BACK - TS-0203-1264 The Kompact Shortie Blow-Off Valve for the Focus RS has been developed with the Focus’s high boost pressure in mind to improve performance and durability. Plastic OEM blow-off valves like those on the RS have a track record of failures – they leak and become brittle with age until they eventually crack, causing serious problems. Producing around 23 PSI of boost pressure in standard form, the Focus is already pushing the boundaries of its standard plastic blow-off valve – and there’s not much room to turn the boost up before the standard valve struggles to keep up. Turbosmart’s Kompact Shortie is constructed of billet aluminium rather than plastic. Its brass piston is strong and light, and each BOV is individually matched with the right piston to ensure the best fit, meaning there’s no need for an O-ring to seal the body against the piston. This gives the Shortie unsurpassed durability and responsiveness, with less maintenance required than aftermarket BOVs that use piston-sealing O-rings. The Kompact Shortie for the Focus RS can be had in both Dual Port and Plumb Back versions. The Plumb Back is a fully recirculating blow-off valve that offers a similar sound volume to the standard valve, so you can have all the performance of a Turbosmart blow-off valve while flying under the radar. The Dual Port features a split operation between recirculating and venting to the atmosphere, providing quiet operation at low boost and head-turning vent-to-atmosphere sound at high boost – a great complement to the Focus’s rally fighter character. The Kompact Shortie for the Focus RS features enlarged ports compared to previous Shorties, giving the RS the flow it needs. These direct replacement blow-off valves offer an easy performance improvement without needing custom fabrication or special tools. It’s yet another addition to Turbosmart’s ever-expanding range of parts for Ford’s latest EcoBoost range of vehicles.

The Turbosmart BOV controller is an electronic device which controls the pressure signal to the BOV. It works by detecting a negative voltage change in throttle position. It then energises a solenoid to vent all of the air out of the BOV cap, causing a pressure differential between the piston of the BOV and the cap which will vent pressure from the intake system. Large diesel engines with larger turbochargers can experience compressor surge when coming off the throttle. The deceleration of the engine can be a restriction on the outlet of the turbocharger causing compressor surge. This can be disastrous on a turbo system which is producing high amounts of boost. The BOV controller can vent this build up of pressure, protecting the turbocharger. This can reduce the amount of rebuilds on your turbocharger as well as improve acceleration between gears.
