Our precisely modeled 2-piece overlays feature a smooth, appealing exterior design with provisions machined for clearance on OE features such as coolant hose connections and the coolant level sensor. The ECS Carbon Fiber Fuse Box / ECU Cover adds unique, authentic carbon fiber styling to the underhood of your MQB platform vehicle without any permanent modifications. Easily installs with our  conveniently pre-applied 3M tape to the underside of the cover. It's unique styling not only covers the black plastic fuse box lid, but it also has a wing that extends over the unsightly ECU clamshell bracket to further enhance engine bay styling.   PART DESIGN Our in-house engineering team was tasked with making our cover fit perfectly atop the fuse box lid and to also cover the ugly ECU clamshell bracket. Our R&D Team spent a considerable amount of time designing every feature to perfectly execute the strict styling requirements associated atop the Gen3 engine. After multiple design iterations, ensuring that every edge and every line was made to perfectly compliment the complex and unique features that the Gen3 engine bears, we were finally satisfied with the shear beauty and styling transformation that our Carbon Fiber Engine Cover provides.  A brushed aluminum logo plate, featuring a screen-printed ECS Tuning logo, is pre-installed onto the engine cover for timeless appeal and decor. Openings within the engine cover expose the ignition coils to compliment our similar styling to the Gen1 TSI ECS Carbon Fiber Engine Cover. * Engine oil cap functionality is retained so you can easily top-off your engine oil between services without engine cover removal. Engine oil filter housing cap clearance is maintained for visual appeal only (compatible with OEM and ECS Billet Oil Filter Housing). We recommend removing the engine cover while performing an engine oil and filter service to avoid engine cover damage.  Further design considerations were strategically made such as clearance for "most" aftermarket intake systems, ECS catch can breather hoses, OEM and ECS oil dipstick functionality and perfect accommodations to clear the ignition coil harness. Styling amongst the engine itself were added into our design including the intake manifold plenum shape where our engine cover perfectly wraps and covers the unpleasing OE plastic intake manifold. Individual intake runner profiles compliment the OE design and further add engine bay styling; being careful not to take any mechanical styling away from the engine our engineers worked to keep the engine looking like an engine. Slots between the intake runner covers keep cleaning and maintenance down as no dirt can be trapped between the runners.  Installing the ECS Engine Cover is simple! The included ball studs thread quickly into the OE plastic intake manifold bosses. From there the pre-installed engine cover mounting grommets snap right over the OE and ECS ball studs. The ECS Engine Cover can then be installed or removed just like the factory cover without any further tools needed.  Sold as a complete kit, our Carbon Fiber Engine Cover kit includes 2 specific ball studs for installation and a complete, pre-assembled Engine Cover. Introducing our in-house designed and engineered ECS Billet 2-Piece Rear Wiper Delete Plug.  Featuring a smooth, logo-less, bright dip black anodized cap for the outside that has dual radii design features to follow the complex curvature of the rear hatch glass, we designed this with ultra-stealth characteristics in mind! The exterior cap is made from Type-6463 Billet Aluminum to achieve the ultra-high gloss bright dip anodized finish to match the rear hatch glass and to maintain protection against ultraviolet light. The cap features a threaded body that penetrates the hatch glass where the flat sealing washer and hardware capture from within. Product Details Replace your fragile plastic oil filter housing with an attractive, durable, 6061-T6 aluminum housing from ECS Tuning. Far stronger than the original, the ECS housing requires no special tools to open the drain plug during an oil change; all you'll need is a common 8 mm Allen wrench. For added convenience, the housing plug sealing ring is identical to the one on the crankcase drain plug, making it easy to source and install new seals for a leak-free job. Place your car securely on a lift, jack stands, or ramps Pop the hood, remove your engine oil cap from the engine bay Drain the oil from the filter housing and the oil drain plug Use a 36mm socket to unscrew the housing from the engine (Schwaben socket – ES240945). Remove the old filter, and install a new one, making sure to transfer the filter retainer to the ECS housing Replace the rubber housing oil ring with the new o-ring contained in the filter kit. Screw the housing on to the engine, and torque to 18 foot pounds. Reinstall the drain plug with new copper ring, and tighten to 22 foot pounds. Add a VW approved 502 / 505 engine oil. (Not sure about the right oil? Visit our Maintenance section!) That's it. No more cracked housings. No more oil spills on your garage floor. No need for a special drain plug tool. No more plastic drain plugs mangled by adjustable pliers.Talk about a no-brainer. Fits 2.0T FSI & 2.5L.
