Revo Revo MQB Lower Torque Mount
Revo Torque MountMore power results in more movement during aggressive acceleration. The stock torque mount is designed to offer comfort over performance and does not manage engine movement effectively. Designed to significantly reduce the loss of torque and drastically improve traction and acceleration, the Revo Torque mount has little to no effect on vibration and harshness levels (NVH) felt in the cabin. Key Features Dramatically reduce drivetrain movement Improved acceleration and torque Simple and easy to install with tool included Doesn't require sub-frame removal for installation Arguably the most vital engine mount upgrade to consider, testing highlighted that the engines stock lower torque mount allowed a substantial amount of engine movement to occur. Although some improvements were noted during testing of an insert style upgrade designed to stiffen the standard mount, there was a significant increase in NVH felt in the cabin. This was dramatically reduced when completely replaced with the Revo polyurethane torque mount and also improved acceleration. Fitting Kit A Revo installation tool is included to make removal of the OEM mount and installation of the replacement as quick and easy as possible. This allows the OEM part to be removed and the Revo part to be installed without removing the sub-frame, reducing installation time and the need for axle re-alignment. OEM Comfort, Aftermarket Performance To achieve the optimal balance between performance and comfort, several different durometer bushings were tested on a Volkswagen Golf Mk7 GTI. Bushings were systematically tested at precise increments at each mount location. A 3-axis accelerometer was used to quantify the NVH levels being transmitted into the cabin, as well as the acceleration of the drivetrain during loading. Accelerometer data gave us a way to compare mount combinations against each other with a low data error percentage and to quantify driver comfort as well as engine movement. Supplemental data was taken from VCDS to ensure each individual test was standardised over a given throttle, RPM and speed range. The graph shows the amount of vibration measured whilst driving through the gears. Revo Engine Mounts More power results in more movement during aggressive acceleration. The stock engine mounts, designed to favour comfort over performance, fail to manage axle hop and torque effectively requiring you to ease off in order to gain traction. Designed to significantly reduce this engine movement, Revo engine mounts use Dual Durometer technology to minimise noise, vibration and harshness levels (NVH) while drastically improving traction and acceleration. The engine, transmission and torque mounts have been CAD designed to offer OE quality fitment with the performance benefits and quality of a Revo product. The aforementioned solution must also continue to dissipate the NVH naturally created by the drivetrain. To accomplish this, the bushing design of past Revo engine mounts was retained in the MQB engine and transmission mounts, allowing Revo engineers to focus their efforts on bushing stiffness/type to accomplish the task. The CTS MQB Rear Subframe Mount Insert Kit is designed to improve the responsiveness of the rear suspension and differential for the MQB Platform. MQB Audi/Volkswagens come equipped with Haldex AWD and use rear subfame mounts made of rubber. When driven at the limit these can cause the rear end to feel sloppy. This kit is engineered to fill the voids in the factory mounts while limiting vertical movement. This maintains the rear geometry of the rear suspension allowing for better cornering and a more responsive driving experience. Our Rear Sway Bar End Links replace the soft factory rubber bushings with their weak plastic bodies with these beautifully engineered adjustable aluminium billet replacements.Designed with one aim in mind: to help achieve optimum suspension performance and geometric accuracy, and thus increase the effectiveness of your rear anti-roll bar. Each heavy-duty, high-articulation rear droplink attaches the rear anti roll bar ends to the lower suspension arm. Replacing the failure-prone, weak plastic OEM links with our rigid billet aluminium links greatly reduces flex and allows a sharp, uncompromised transfer of suspension movement through to the sway bar. As well as the link itself, extra stiffness and precision comes from replacing the flex-prone stock plastic ball joint with motorsport-spec ball joints. An especially valuable upgrade on older, higher mileage cars. Fully adjustable by +/- 5mm to zero the pre-load on the anti-roll bar geometry. Clever design means that adjustment can be carried out at both ends whilst the droplinks are in-situ, making neutral positioning much easier. This billet insert is designed to reduce engine movement while shifting or accelerating.Insert effectively cancels drivetrain slop and movement and does not introduce any vibrations or harshness (even at idle or engine start). The billet insert is made in house from high quality T6061 aluminum and anodized black for years of problem-free operation.The installation is simple, only requiring basic hand tools. Simply undo your factory torque arm bolt, insert the part and reinstall the bolt and torque to 74ft/lbs (100 Nm)! Simple as that. 034Motorsport's Density Line Mounts are the new standard in comfort and performance. Our mounts are redesigned with performance in mind, and manufactured from high-durometer rubber for increased performance and durability, without sacrificing comfort. Density Line Mounts are void-free and fluid-free, eliminating the slop associated with the factory mounts. Street Density: The Street Density Strut Mount is manufactured from 70 durometer rubber, which is approximately 50% stiffer than stock. The rubber is also fully vulcanized to the center cups to increase the lifespan and performance of the mounts significantly. The steel strut mount bodies have also been redesigned to cope with the added stresses of spirited driving. The result is a significant reduction in deflection of the strut mount. These mounts will also eliminate the annoying "squeaking" sound often caused by the stock strut mounts when paired with coilover suspensions. 034Motorsport's Motorsport StreetSport Mounts for Audi 8V/8V.5 A3/S3 8S TT/TTS and VW Mk7 Golf/GTI/R models are the new standard in ultra-high performance. These mounts are designed with extreme performance in mind, manufactured from billet aluminum and high-durometer rubber, making them virtually indestructible, while maintaining better ride characteristics than polyurethane alternatives. These mounts have a lifetime guarantee regardless of power level applied and type of track racing they are used for. Motorsport StreetSport Mounts are void-free and fluid-free, eliminating the slop associated with the factory engine/transmission mounts, and are designed to be completely rebuildable with replaceable Density Line rubber bushings. These heavy-duty mounts will result in a moderate increase in noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) transfer into the cabin, as they are designed to drastically reduce engine movement compared to the factory parts, but will introduce less NVH than our TrackSport mounts due to the lower-durometer rubber used. Additional NVH is most noticeable at idle, but once the vehicle is moving, NVH is slightly higher than stock. HIGH-DUROMETER RUBBER VS. POLYURETHANE: Density Line Mounts are manufactured from high-durometer rubber instead of polyurethane for a number of reasons. While vulcanized rubber mounts are more expensive to prototype due to increased complexity of manufacturing and high initial tooling costs, rubber is inherently better than polyurethane as a damping medium for mounts and bushings. Rubber is able to deal with stress under both tension and compression, while polyurethane mounts rely on the damping medium to be effective only under compression. Rubber is also excellent in shear, where polyurethane is ineffective, making it ideal for applications that apply a shear force to the bushing during articulation. Rubber does not pack and wear like polyurethane does, which ultimately results in a long-lasting part with consistent performance.
