Product Description The Forge Motorsport dump valve for the 2015-on 1.2 TSI engine codes CJZA, CJZC, CJZD, CYVB as found in the Skoda Fabia, Skoda Octavia, VW Golf, VW Polo, Audi A1, Audi A3, Seat Ibiza and Seat Leon. Please note this kit is only compatible with models that do not have a standard turbo mounted diverter valve. Earlier models that have a turbo mounted diverter valve as standard require the kit with part number FMDVA1TSI and FMDVATSI The 1.2 and 1.4 TSI doesn’t have a dump valve from the factory, so this product allows you to have the traditional dump valve noise between gear changes and when letting off the gas pedal. It won’t bring on any check engine lights and the car will drive just as before. This kit totally replaces the plastic pipe from turbo to manifold with a silicon hose (available in a choice of colours), and everything else you need to install the valve is included in the kit together with full instructions. Unlike other valves on the market the Forge valve will not bring on any check engine lights. ( EML ) The Forge silicone hoses in this kit have been designed to include an expensive inner liner of modified silicone known as Flurosilicone. This means the hoses are suitable to be used with modern long-life coolants, Organic Acid Technology coolants (O.A.T.) and oil mist. The construction of the hoses has been engineered to exceed that of the OEM fitments, and will enhance any engine bay both technically and aesthetically. This valve kit allows the fitment of a fast response blow off valve on the 1.2 TSi engine CBZA, CBZB and CBZC as found in the Seat Ibiza, Toledo, Altea, Leon, the VW Polo, Caddy, New Beetle, Jetta, Touran, Golf, the Skoda Yeti, Fabia, Octavia, and the Audi A1 and A3. As the engine does not have a diverter valve fitted as standard, this valve not only gives you an incredible loud sound when lifting off the throttle during gear changes, but will also improve the throttle response by reducing any lag, as it will help the turbocharger maintain its rotational speed ready for when you accelerate. The kit includes all of the necessary hardware and step by step installation instructions for any car enthusiast with appropriate garage tools to fit at home, in just a couple of hours! Due to the exposed position of the OEM boost pipe and the nature of heat cycle, the plastic that the OEM pipe is made from can deteriorate over time, becoming brittle and susceptible to boost leaks. GFB GFB T9430 VTA FOR LATE-MODEL AUDI,VW, SKODA, AND SEAT 1.2 AND 1.4TSI MODELS
The latest addition to the VTA range is a blow-off valve designed specifically for late-model Audi, VW, Skoda, and SEAT 1.2 and 1.4TSI models. These engines come from the factory with no diverter valve of any kind, which results in turbo compressor surge every time the throttle is closed after boosting. The intake is acoustically tuned to suppress the fluttering sound of compressor surge, but it does not eliminate the effect of pressure pulses – that is what diverter and blow-off valves were originally designed to do. The GFB VTA re-introduces a blow-off valve into the 1.2/1.4 TSI system, which eliminates compressor surge to protect the turbo, and delivers the signature blow-off “whoosh” when lifting off the throttle. Because these engines do not run a MAF sensor, there is no chance of adverse drivability or fuelling issues. The VTA clips directly into the turbo’s charge piping, replacing a short plastic joiner with a billet CNC machined section onto which the VTA mounts. The kit also includes a boost tee and vacuum hose that clips onto one of the manifold vacuum ports to source a vacuum signal for the VTA valve. This boost tee has a second port that can be used to connect a boost gauge (not included), or plugged off if not required. The whole kit can be fitted in minutes with no tools. VTA or DV+?Depends if you want sound or not. Both valves are constructed with the same quality materials and valve mechanism, and both offer the same performance and reliability benefits. However, the VTA vents to atmosphere for sound whilst the DV+ recirculates the air to keep it quiet. Why choose a VTA over a “BOV spacer”?“BOV spacers” are cheap and they make sound. But that’s it. All the inherent performance and reliability issues you get with the factory diverter valve remain, because a spacer doesn’t change the diverter valve in any way. The VTA improves the operation of the diverter valve for sound AND performance. Why choose a VTA over a kit that includes a solenoid?Because there’s no performance benefit to replacing the factory solenoid, only a much higher price! If a VTA with the factory solenoid can open in a couple of hundredths of a second, why pay more than you need to? VTA BLOW-OFF VALVES ARE CONSTRUCTED WITH THE SAME MATERIALS AND VALVE MECHANISM AS THE DV+, AND THEY OFFER THE EXACT SAME PERFORMANCE AND BOOST HOLDING. HOWEVER, VENTING TO ATMOSPHERE GIVES IT THE SIGNATURE BLOW-OFF SOUND, WHILST THE DV+ KEEPS THINGS QUIET. COMPETITORS' PRODUCTS FOR THE SAME VEHICLES THAT MAKE SOUND (I.E. BOV "SPACERS") TYPICALLY RETAIN THE PERFORMANCE DEFICIENCIES OF THE FACTORY DIVERTER VALVE, DELETE THE ECU CONTROL, OR REQUIRE FREQUENT MAINTENANCE AND REBUILDS. THE VTA ON THE OTHER HAND IS THE COMPLETE PACKAGE - PERFORMANCE, FIT, RELIABILITY, AND SOUND! Like the DV+, GFB’s VTA range of BOVs utilise GFB’s proven TMS Technology to ensure rapid boost recovery on gearshift and optimum throttle response, as well as superior boost holding. However, where the DV+ and the VTA range differ is what they do with the vented air. VTA BOVs vent to atmosphere to make the signature turbo blow-off sound, where the DV+ recirculates the air to keep it quiet. Each valve in the VTA range is designed specifically for the applications we list them for, ensuring the best fit and performance. Most of the VTA range are designed for use on cars with solenoid type factory diverter valves, and in those cases the VTA kit will retain the solenoid and ECU control. Like the DV+ though, it replaces the weak factory valve internals to ensure strength and reliability, especially in high boost applications. Other versions of the VTA are designed for use on cars that do not have any kind of factory fitted diverter valve. Vehicle manufacturers have deleted the troublesome solenoid type diverter valve from some of the newer models, but this leads to turbo compressor surge which can be taxing on the turbo in the long run. The VTA valves for these cars are designed to re-introduce the function of a diverter/blow-off valve to help protect the turbo in the long term and provide a blow-off sound. Forge Motorsport is proud to release the latest version of our very popular solenoid driven valve for the 2013-on VAG 1.8 TSI engine (US codes CPKA and CPRA) and 2.0 TSI engine (Euro code CNTA, CHHA, CHHB, CJXB and CJXC;US codes CPLA and CPPA) including Golf MK7 R This valve is fully engineered to remedy the failure issues experienced with the OEM solenoid valves when their diaphragm may rupture which results in a boost leak. The later revision OEM valves have a longer lift but ultimately the plastic brittles and in extreme circumstances, parts of the plastic can break off. Our valve uses full billet alloy construction with a piston based internal design that provides for significantly improved reliability over the OEM valves along with lightning fast response. It has also been proven in cars running over 600bhp! This new valve has a very short overall installed height, which enables fitment of this atmospheric valve into the tight space between the turbo and the inlet hose from the airfilter, older larger valves and sandwich plates will not fit this engine. This product only works in conjunction with FMINDK35. After the success of the FMDV22 Forge Motorsport has now developed a recirculating Valve option for the VAG 1.5 TSI engine. It uses our tried and tested FMDV008 recirculation valve, this valve has been with us for some time and has proved time and again to be tough, durable and ultra-reliable. By adding this valve, it prevents turbo surge and prolongs the life of your engine’s turbocharger. As the engine does not have a diverter valve fitted as standard, Forge have reused our tried and tested FMDV008 valve that increases the throttle response during gear changes by reducing turbo lag. It has been designed to help the turbocharger maintain its rotational speed ready for when you accelerate, whilst also taking the strain away from the impeller. Without removing this stress from your turbo, it could cause premature failure, especially on engines and modified vehicles. Like with all our valves you are able to customise it to fit your application with two uprated springs provided in the kit. Due to its clever design, changing the spring is a very simple process, simply undo the fasteners attaching the valve top and remove the spring. Its that easy! Due to the exposed position of the OEM boost pipe and the nature of an engines heat cycle, the plastic the OEM pipe is made from can deteriorate over time becoming brittle and susceptible to boost leaks. This kit totally replaces this plastic pipe from turbo to manifold with a silicone hose (available in a choice of colours), and everything else you need to install the valve is included in the kit together with full instructions. • Anodised CNC machined billet couplers and components along with a tuneable CNC machined twin piston Forge Motorsport valve• Custom colours are available but will incur a 50% none refundable deposit and a lead time of 8-10 weeks• Unlike other valves on the market the Forge valve will not bring on any check engine lights (EML) • The Forge silicone hose in this kit has been designed to include a quality inner liner of modified silicone known as Fluorosilicone. This kit features a Forge Ram Air high flow, pleated, synthetic nanofiber filtration filter, that has been manufactured for optimum size and fit to the available space giving superior flow and filtration with enhanced breathing for the 1.5 turbo charged engine. It also features a larger surface area than the stock filter and many competitors’ alternatives. The intake diameters on these air intakes have been carefully tuned to provide exactly the correct quantity of air ensuring solid consistent power gains throughout the rev range without any loss of low-end torque. The pipework is specifically designed to feed the turbo without interruption. The benefit of this is a gain of induction acoustics under acceleration, which improves the driving experience and adds a bit more drama to the TSI EVO engine. Left hand drive intake Right hand drive intake As with all our intakes we design, high air flow is considered absolutely paramount, thus, we endeavoured to incorporate a large bore silicone high flow pipe with turbo inlet adaptor included. This helps to aid the engines performance and air flow in several ways. Designed in a similar way to a conventional velocity stack, it routes the air more directly into your turbo charger and allows more air than the stock inlet tract to be compressed due to its larger capacity. This can have a positive effect on accelerating your vehicle after long deceleration or between gear changes as more air is being kept within the intake system. The Forge developed inlet tract has more than a 50% increase in volume with the area at the mouth of the turbo increased to 46%. This, combined with no internal baffles or noise restrictors gives a helping hand to the vehicles acoustic notes and throttle response. With the use of Solidworks®, our CAD engineers have designed the heat shroud to fit round all the contours of the engine bay. This shroud combined with our specially formulated thermal coatings protects the intake from radiant heat while also guiding the cold air from the OE cold air ducting to the filter and housing. All of the billet components supplied have been made from 6082 Alloy and then anodised to ensure the alloy has no fatigue and stays without corrosion for years to come. This kit completed with stainless steel high quality hose clamps has the usual unrivaled performance you would expect from Forge Motorsport. This valve kit is for VAG vehicles equipped with the 1.4 TSI twincharged (supercharged and turbocharged) engines that have the electronically controlled bypass valves (2 bolt fitting). It is recommended for any vehicle where the boost pressure has been increased by an ECU software upgrade and for unmodified vehicles operating in warmer climates, as a solution to the many failures of the OEM valve, that have occurred. Our alternative is a fully engineered solution offering both significantly improved reliability. Our valve and installation kit replaces the original unit with a pressure/vacuum operated piston valve that still also retains the desirable OEM ECU control over valve actuation. Forge Motorsport is proud to release the latest version of our very popular solenoid driven valve for the 2013-on VAG 1.8 TSI engine (US codes CPKA and CPRA) and 2.0 TSI engine (Euro code CNTA, CHHA, CHHB, CJXB and CJXC;US codes CPLA and CPPA) including Golf MK7 R. This valve is a full replacement atmospheric blow-off valve (i.e. noisy) that integrates seamlessly with the OEM electronics and results in no detriment in performance, and absolutely NO fault codes or check engine lights, which isn’t something that can be said of our competition! Like our full replacement recirculating valve option, this valve is fully engineered to remedy the failure issues experienced with the OEM solenoid valves when their diaphragm may rupture which results in a boost leak. The later revision OEM valves have a longer lift but ultimately the plastic brittles and in extreme circumstances, parts of the plastic can break off. Our valve uses full billet alloy construction with a piston based internal design that provides for significantly improved reliability over the OEM valves along with lightning fast response. It has also been proven in cars running over 600bhp! This new valve has a very short overall installed height, which enables fitment of this atmospheric valve into the tight space between the turbo and the inlet hose from the airfilter, older larger valves and sandwich plates will not fit this engine.
