Racingline Cup Edition Intake System VWR12G7CUP The VWR Cold-Air Intake System kit delivers cold fresh air from outside the engine bay straight to your engine via a large-diameter free-flowing intake pipe. The intake uses an oversize domed High-Flow TriFoam™ air filter designed to provide increased surface area and dust capacity. Your DSG gearbox is susceptible to overheating. And the higher your power, the harder you drive, the more important it is to protect it. Under hard driving, the factory DSG oil/water cooler is easily overwhelmed. Problems start to occur when oil cannot dissipate its collected heat fast enough and the oil begins to thin and degrade – losing its lubrication properties. When this happens, the DSG will protect itself and begin to lower the torque, increase shift times and in extreme circumstances even loose gear selection. The RacingLine kit solves this problem: by adding in an additional air/oil cooler positioned right in the airflow at the front of the car, oil temperatures are reduced by around 15  – 20   degrees centigrade (of course dependant on how the car is being used, ambient temps and state of tune). The kit uses a clever design which retains the factory oil/water cooling and adds to it with the thermostatically-controlled front-mounted cooler – doubling up your cooling capability when it’s needed with less heat transfer into the water system. Only when the oil exceeds normal temperatures, the thermostat opens. Oil temperature then drops significantly as it is pumped through the densely packed fins of the 10-row cooler’s large surface area mounted right in the cool airflow. The Revo Turbo Inlet Hose offers a high-quality single piece replacement for the OEM parts which allows for smoother uninterrupted airflow, improving the throttle response and performance of your vehicle. With a generously sized airbox, the standard plastic intake hose causes the most amount of restriction; convolutions designed to allow for engine movement disrupt airflow, a small internal diameter limits the volume of air and a sharp reduction in hose diameter at the turbo causes turbulence.   TURBO INLET The Revo machined inlet replaces the restrictive elbow found on the IS20/IS38 turbos. The machined billet aluminium inlet securely fits the OE unit using locking tabs and integrated O-rings. With almost double the cross-sectional area compared to other available products, air can stabilise and distribute before a smooth tapered transition to the turbo. Removing the internal steps between components further ensures uninterrupted airflow and removes any unnecessary turbulence.   SILICONE HOSE DESIGN The Revo Turbo Hose as an increased inner diameter that gradually tapers from airbox to turbo to optimise airflow, while maintaining the tolerances required to fit both LHD and RHD vehicles with a standard airbox. Designed to directly replace the plastic hose and turbo elbow, this upgrade reduces restriction and maximises smooth airflow improving both power and torque throughout the rev range.   A four-ply construction with an internal wire helix increases strength to prevent collapsing under pressure. Internal steps flush fit against the stock airbox and the machined inlet, creating a smooth transition between components ensuring the smoothest airflow possible to the turbo. A machined bung is integrated into the hose, connecting the stock PCV system vacuum.       RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT All Revo products are designed in-house and are rigorously tested. TECHNICAL DATA AIRTEC Motorsport Oil Cooler Kit for Mk7 Golf R   Following an extensive development process over the past year, AIRTEC Motorsport are proud to launch its new oil cooler kit aimed at modified Golf R owners who struggle to maintain steady oil temperatures on track, or during fast road use.   Our kit has been designed in the UK after thorough research. The challenge was to integrate a large capacity, external oil-cooler, mounted behind the grille for direct airflow. This would replace the basic OEM oil heat-exchanger but would still integrate seamlessly by utilising the car’s original oil take-off fittings.   The comprehensive package we subsequently developed includes AIRTEC Motorsport’s CNC, billet take-off adapter, an AIRTEC oil cooler, a laser-cut oil cooler bracket, high quality braided hose lines with Aerotec fittings and all fixtures and fittings including instructions, for a bolt-on installation.   The kit has undergone extensive testing on race tracks throughout Europe to ensure engine running temperatures remain low and steady in a variety of different climates. The graphs below were produced with products fitted to a vehicle and also in a standalone test off the car. The Revo system was tested on a flow bench to highlight the efficiency of the kit in allowing more air to reach the turbo, quickly and with less restriction. The OEM system reached its maximum potential of 440 cubic feet per minute, compared to the Revo system which was able to flow 480 CFM with a restriction of around 600 mmWg. This difference allows the engine to still make power at the top of the rev installing with the Revo kit.   INCREASED POWER AND TORQUE The Carbon Air Scoop (with silicone back hose and ProPanel) was installed on a variety of stage 2 & 3 vehicles, all tested on a 4-wheel hub dyno. Three consecutive runs were carried out on each vehicle comparing the stock system to the Revo MQB Carbon Air Scoop. A consistent gain of +10WHP was found on the 300ps 2.0TSI and +17WHP on the 220ps 2.0TSI, with both giving an average gain throughout the rev range of +16NM torque. REVO CARBON SERIES - AIR BOX LID The Revo Carbon Lid and turbo inlet hose have been designed and engineered to directly replace the stock airbox lid, pipe and elbow found in vehicles with the 1.8 and 2.0 TSI engines with an IHI turbo. The Revo Carbon Lid offers a high-quality replacement, with its contoured design it not only just aesthetically pleasing but designed to improve airflow and performance of your vehicle. The Revo Carbon Lid has been designed to increase airbox volume and promote smoother airflow. The closed air system helps eliminate heat soak whilst directing cold air through its curved design directly to the oversized outlet. With a 16% larger outlet, the Carbon Lid drastically improves the rate at which air can flow, ensuring maximum performance at even Stage 3 specification.   SILICONE HOSE DESIGN The Revo Turbo Hose as an increased inner diameter to match the large carbon lid outlet that then gradually tapers to the turbo to optimise airflow, while maintaining the tolerances required to fit both LHD and RHD vehicles. Designed to replace the plastic hose and turbo elbow, this upgrade reduces restriction and maximises smooth airflow improving both power and torque throughout the rev range. TURBO INLET The Revo machined inlet replaces the restrictive elbow found on the IS20/IS38 turbos. The billet aluminium piece securely fits the OE unit using locking tabs and integrated O-rings. With almost double the cross-sectional area compared to other available products, air can stabilise and distribute before a smooth tapered transition to the turbo. Removing the internal steps between components ensures smooth and linear airflow transition between elements, providing uninterrupted airflow and removing any unnecessary turbulence.     RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT All Revo products are designed and rigorously tested in-house utilising 3D printed prototypes, latest CAD and CFD programs, 4 wheel hub dyno and Revo developed data acquisition software.
