As part of our expanding BMW product range, AIRTEC Motorsport is proud to launch our enlarged turbo inlet upgrade for the S55 engine fitted with hybrid turbos. A direct replacement part that offers increases in performance and response, the enlarged turbo inlets feature a freer-flowing design with an increased internal diameter, which is essential when fitting hybrid turbos. How it works The original elbows from the air boxes are made from plastic and gradually taper down from 80mm to just 54mm and then 41mm as they enter the turbos. Whilst this is adequate for standard turbo cars, when fitting hybrid turbos, which consume more air, the original elbows can cause an unnecessary restriction that hampers flow when pushing for more power. Our AIRTEC Motorsport direct replacement inlets have been designed in-house to feature pipework that very gently tapers to 64mm in diameter as they reach the turbo inlet, therefore removing the stepped restriction and allowing the maximum amount of internal flow, with increases of nearly 35% compared to standard. The elbow upgrade includes pipework for both front and rear turbos and includes all fixtures and fittings. PLEASE NOTE: We recommend these are fitted at the same time the hybrid turbos are installed and therefore do not provide fitting instructions for this product. Airtec AIRTEC MOTORSPORT ALUMINIUM UNDER TRAY FOR FORD FOCUS RS MK3
As part of our expanding Ford product range, AIRTEC Motorsport is proud to launch our direct replacement aluminium undertray for the Mk3 Focus RS. The original undertray on this car is notoriously weak due to the fibre material construction and as a result are prone to failure over time. Our solution to creating a direct replacement undertray in aluminium began with a full 3D scan of the vehicle’s underside to ensure a perfect fitment. As a result, it reuses all original mounting points, as well three additional fittings on the front edge, and is nut and bolted both sides to ensure absolute security. Unlike any other replacement undertray on the market, our design features no step, which is better suited to lowered cars. The cooling ducts are also larger in size to increase air flow passing over the gearbox and transfer case, which helps to reduce transmission operating temperatures and the sides pieces are larger to create a seal against the arch liners. Finished in a high-quality black powder coat finish, the undertray offers improved strength, durability and cooling effectiveness. PLEASE NOTE: The undertray uses existing mounting points and bolts, but it is essential the original plastic fittings the bolts screw into are in good condition. These should only be reused if they still support the bolt properly and you are able to tighten it firmly. If they are worn or broken and offer little to no resistance as you wind the bolt in, they should be replaced with new items from Ford, as failure to do so may cause the undertray to work loose. THIS IS FOR LEFT HAND DRIVE As part of our expanding Audi product range, AIRTEC Motorsport are proud to launch our cast turbo elbow for the RS3 8V kit for fast road or track use. The bottle neck of the 2.5 TFSI engine is the turbo elbow, which reduces down in diameter massively as it passes down behind the engine to the turbo. Our approach to improving this focused on making the very most of the available space and as a result, our in-house design engineer team were able to create an elbow design that is unrivalled on the market for it’s increase in diameter and improvement in flow. Featuring a 4″/102mm inlet, the elbow gently tapers down with no aggressive step to ensure optimum flow from start to finish with a substantially increased volume over standard. As a result, the AIRTEC Motorsport enlarged elbow measures a huge 8,171mm² at its widest cross-sectional measurement, compared to the original pipe’s 5,026mm² at its widest point, therefore offering a huge increase of 62.5%. On average, it’s 30% larger internally compared to the standard elbow, offering a huge increase in capacity. This improves throttle response and reduces restriction, which is key for those chasing increased power from their cars. A direct replacement part, the elbow is made from high-quality cast aluminium and has been designed to work with other our own AIRTEC Motorsport induction it (similar sized induction kits should also fit). To fit the right-hand drive models, an indentation has been introduced to allow clearance for the brake master cylinder. The elbow comes with detailed fitting instructions and is designed to work with both standard turbos and various types of hybrid turbos, thanks to a range of machined flanges (62.8mm and 65.7mm) that come with the kit. Airtec AIRTEC MOTORSPORT RESONATOR DELETE PIPE FOR MINI F56 COOPER S & JCW
A direct replacement part that gives increases in response and sound by eliminating the internal sound resonators built into the original boost pipe from the turbo. The manufacturer fits these resonators to reduce noise and quieten the tone, but by replacing the pipe for one without the baffled internals, flow is improved, as well as noise. Developed in-house at AIRTEC HQ in the UK, this is our biggest oil cooler kit to date offering a huge 51% increase in volume over our Stage 1 oil cooler kit. Spanning across the entire front grille area for maximum air flow, the comprehensive kit also features laser-cut aluminium ducting to force cold air through the cooler. This allows it to fit with our Stage 3 intercooler kit (our Stage 1 oil cooler does not fit with the Stage 3 intercooler) to create the ultimate cooling package.
