The Splitter is a truly remarkable valve that gives a combination of blow off and recirculation valve operation all at the same time and has been specifically designed for the many turbo engined applications that operate metered airflow management sysyems. This means you get all the noise of the blow off valve whilst retaining the compatibility with the recirculation requirements of the engine management system. As a bonus we also offer the ability to convert the valve to recirculation only mode for those times when stealth running is required. This valve uses a Brass piston which utilises new sealing technology along with a variable spring preload incorporating a ratchet type top adjuster that will allow for the positive and precise adjustment to match the valve to your engine. This is achieved by using a unique single, conical, progressive rate spring that can allow for the retention of boost pressure over a wide adjustment range. This unique spring design also allows for unrestricted piston travel and flow volume regardless of the amount of pre-load adjustment added to the spring. Other manufacturers valves using cylindrical springs with adjustable pre-load often experience restricted piston travel and a reduction in flow volume. This valve has 34mm pipe connections. Blow Off Valve for Hyundai Genesis Sonata and Kia Sportage and Optima. The Forge direct replacement blow-off valve is designed to be a more durable and performance oriented valve than the OEM unit. The OEM valve is suitable for stock boost levels for a period of time, however, once boost pressure is raised, and after prolonged use, the stock valve will no longer be adequate. Raising the boost output of the vehicle will have a number of effects on the OEM valve. First and foremost, the additional boost pressure will quickly exceed the capacity of the OEM spring to keep the valve closed under higher boost levels. Since you cannot change the springs in the OEM valve, it cannot be adjusted for higher boost levels. Secondly, the additional heat generated by the increased boost will quickly deteriorate the OEM rubber valve diaphragm, which will also lose strength with repeated oscillations. The Forge valve uses full billet aluminum construction and Viton silicone o-rings that will withstand the highest boost levels and repeated abuse. It is also tunable for varying boost levels with the included spring tuning kit. If there is ever a problem with the valve such as a torn o-ring, replacements are available free of charge, and the valve is fully rebuildable. As the Genesis Coupe 2.0T does not use a MAF (mass air flow) sensor, there is no reason that the residual boost pressure at throttle lift cannot be vented to the atmosphere such as with this valve. The engine management does not meter the air volume entering the engine, so this residual pressure can be discharged without any adverse affects on the performance or driveability of the vehicle. Additionally, the valve being open at an idle or vacuum condition is a normal occurance, and is not indicative of a leaking valve. If the intake manifold is in vacuum, even while cruising at speed, the valve may be open. The OEM valve operates in this same manner, however, it is just not visible/audible because it is recirculating instead of vented to the atmosphere. Using a stiffer spring to keep the valve closed at a vacuum condition may result in too stiff of a spring tension to effectively discharge pressure at a throttle lift condition. This oil catch tank kit is for the Alfa Romeo Mito 1.4 QV and Abarth Punto EVO. Developed by our in-house development team, not only is it beautifully designed, it has been created to capture the maximum amount of harmful contaminants, including oil deposits, unused fuel vapours and moisture, all of which would ordinarily make their way back through to the inlet of the engine. Extensive testing has proven our oil catch tank kit's ability to effectively reduce sludge and carbon build up, in turn allowing the engine to both breathe and perform more efficiently. It can therefore be viewed as a genuine performance enhancing product and one we recommend, particularly if you are planning more advanced power tuning at a later date. The 0.4l (400cc) catch tank boasts a slew of features intended to make it both easy to check and simple to drain, including a dipstick for level inspection and a well placed drain tap. The design of the kit has also been carefully considered, hence its inner tube which is constructed from anti-static smooth fuel resistant nitrile rubber. This is paired with an outer cover made from reinforced stainless steel wire braid (a Forge specialty), specifically a partial inner braid and a full cover outer braid. Product Description This adaptor can be fitted to the map sensor on the intake manifold (for vacuum and boost) or on the charge pipe (for boost). Please note this kit is only compatible with models that do not have a standard turbo mounted diverter valve. Earlier models that have a turbo mounted diverter valve as standard require the kit with part number FMDVA1TSI and FMDVATSI The 1.2 and 1.4 TSI doesn’t have a dump valve from the factory, so this product allows you to have the traditional dump valve noise between gear changes and when letting off the gas pedal. ( EML ) The Forge silicone hoses in this kit have been designed to include an expensive inner liner of modified silicone known as Flurosilicone. This means the hoses are suitable to be used with modern long-life coolants, Organic Acid Technology coolants (O.A.T.) and oil mist. This Blow Off valve is for the Citroen DS3 1.6 Turbo engines, that have the electronically controlled bypass valves. It is recommended for any vehicle where the boost pressure has been increased by an ECU software upgrade and for unmodified vehicles operating in warmer climates, as a solution to the many failures that have occurred. The problem is that diaphragm retaining ring is made from very thin plastic that goes brittle with heat cycles, and eventually fails. Unfortunately the failure doesn’t always result in a check engine light as the valve can still be blown open by the boost pressure, so you may not be aware that you are losing power due to this. This prevents the diaphragm from sealing This particular failure can also result in the valve falling apart upon removal from the turbo, and in extreme cases, we have heard of bits of plastic entering the turbo resulting in serious damage. Our alternative is a fully engineered solution offering both significantly improved reliability .Our valve is piston based , with no diaphragm to fail, and of all aluminium construction, it replaces the original unit with a pressure/vacuum operated piston valve that still also retains the desirable OEM ECU control over valve actuation. This valve is a full replacement atmospheric blow-off valve (i.e. noisy) that integrates seamlessly with the OEM electronics and results in no detriment in performance, and absolutely NO fault codes or check engine lights, which isn’t something that can be said of our competition!
