Developed in-house at AIRTEC HQ in the UK, we’ve created a comprehensive solution to improving the car’s oil cooling ability for modified Mk4 ST owners who struggle to maintain steady oil temperatures on track, or during fast road use. With vast experience in developing uprated oil cooler packages for a variety of modified track and road cars, the challenge with this kit was to integrate a large capacity, external oil cooler neatly behind the upper grille area without obstructing the air intakes. As a result, our design includes a designated scoop on the left-hand side that supports the oil cooler and channels cold air towards the intakes. After trying and testing several designs to ensure it was simple yet effective, the result is an adjustable wing kit that is easy to fit and allows the boot to open as usual, whilst offering improvements to both the stability on road and track, as well as to the look of the car overall. Using our proven aero foil blade design, the comprehensive kit includes laser cut brackets and a choice of end plates that are finished in a high-quality gloss black or gloss red powder coat (please note, the shade of red is not identical to the OEM Mini Chilli Red, but is similar).   As part of our expanding BMW product range, AIRTEC Motorsport is proud to launch our wheel arch liner clearance grilles for the BMW G87 M2, G80 M3 and G82 M4 models. The IssueThe original BMW arch liners feature a vented section to allow air to escape from the front bumper. However, this section has very little clearance to the tyre when turning, which is acceptable for a standard car, but when modified with lowered suspension, larger tyres or even simple wheel spacers, it causes the tyre to make contact with the vented section and instantly damages it. The plastic fins can then break off and these can also damage the tyre. The SolutionSimple yet effective, our design team developed replacement grilles that can be fitted to the arch liner to provide the necessary extra clearance. Tested on a lowered car with larger tyres, these grilles still ensure large debris cannot pass through whilst allowing air to escape from the front bumper. Made from 2mm aluminium and finished in a high-quality black powder coat, the grilles feature our own hexagonal design that’s laser cut into the grille. The grilles attach to the arch liner with seven fixings each side to ensure they are rigid and the kit comes with all fixtures and fittings, as well as detailed installation instructions.
