Made from billet aluminium, this atmospheric diverter valve dumps the charge-air to atmosphere creating the "Whoosh" sound when the throttle is lifted. This increases both quicker throttle response and higher clamping load to maintain boost pressure more reliably. Unlike single piston or diaphragm diverter valves, this uses counter balanced springs and dual pistons to prevent the valve from leaking air into the intake system at idle. This prevents our diverter valves suffering any of the failures associated with single piston and diaphragm type diverter valves. All Forge Motorsport Dual-Piston Atmospheric Valves have been designed and built with the intent of venting 100% of the residual charge air remaining in your forced induction system to the atmosphere at throttle lift. While we have incorporated many elements into the design of the Dual-Piston valves to aid in their compatibility with mass air-flow sensor equipped vehicles, we cannot always guarantee that each individual’s application will be compatible with a valve that vents the charge air into the atmosphere. Direct Replacement FitDesigned to fit both the 2.0-litre ST and 2.3-litre RS models, the manifold is a true direct replacement that utilises all of the original fixtures and fittings, including the standard throttle body and therefore pipework. There are also provisions to fit either the original plastic engine cover or the AIRTEC Motorsport replacement engine cover, and the design also includes a moulded fixing tab to secure the vacuum line, as per the original. Product DescriptionWhen looking to fit our carbon fibre induction kit FMINDK47 to a 2019 onwards VAG group vehicle that is powered by a DNWA 2019 onwards, you may find that the diverter valve hose to the DV elbow requires an adaptor. Earlier models utilise a straight silicone hose joiner, however these later models use a rectangular joiner. FMBH8 is designed to fit USDM and ROW vehicles that typically use this type of diverter valve hose, whereas European and UK spec vehicles tend to use a straight silicone hose. To identify which you need, please use the reference image below to help identify what variant you have. If you have the same as the image on the left, you will require FMBH8 to enable fitting of the Forge Motorsport Intake FMINDK47 FMBH8 uses a 6082 billet Aluminium joiner fully CNC machined by our engineers at our Gloucester HQ in the UK which is then anodised for surface protection. Developed, designed, and influenced from our direct involvement with BTCC and success with the Hyundai i30N, we are proud to release an oil cooling solution for the Hyundai Kona N. This oil cooler radiator is lifted straight from our motorsport department, so we know that this product performs well, and has been proven in several race events and winning vehicles over the past years. The cores are durable enough to last full race seasons and are perfect for fast road and track use. The cooler has now also been utilised in both of our other Hyundai oil cooling solutions and cleverly redesigned for a 100% plug and play solution for the Kona N. During our time developing world leading products for the Kona N, we found a significant flaw with the vehicle, especially when tuned, just as we did with the I30N. Oil temperatures can climb to dangerous levels when on track or when driven hard in hotter climates. Rising oil temperatures will result in only one outcome: a reduction of sufficient lubrication of your engines internal components, which, in due course, can potentially lead to engine damage. We saw oil temperatures reduce significantly during the development of this product when locating the oil cooler heat exchanger at the front of the vehicle’s radiator grill, this allowed for superior air flow. FMOC14 is a must-have product for the keen driver to protect their vehicles longevity, and perform safely and reliably. Unlike many oil cooler kits on the market, FMOC14 keeps the factory oil to water cooler in position - this essentially doubles your engines oil cooling. This product is not to be confused with a universal oil cooler, FMOC14 has a laser cut aluminium bracket which makes for perfect fitment to the Kona N. The kit is completely bespoke for this vehicle, with perfect length braided oil lines and our intelligent sandwich plate design making for a straightforward installation. Airtec AIRTEC Motorsport Inlet Manifold for Toyota Yaris GR / Corolla GR
As part of our expanding Toyota product range, AIRTEC Motorsport is proud to launch our inlet manifold upgrade aimed at modified Yaris GR owners who want to further improve the performance of their cars for track or fast road use. The DesignWe wanted to develop a manifold with an improved design to allow more flow, whilst introducing longer inlet runners to help produce more power at lower engine speed. We also wanted to incorporate a design that increased air flow balance across the three cylinders. Crucially, we were also determined to create a true direct replacement manifold that required no further modifications, such as custom fabrication or a costly aftermarket ECU. After a thorough development process that saw us simulate and test several different designs, the result is a manifold unlike any other on the market. Tested – Increased and Balanced FlowOur freer-flowing design measured an improvement in flow of 36% in comparison to the original. Furthermore, by flow testing the original manifold and using runner number two as the benchmark, our test data revealed runner number one flowed a 13% difference on average whilst runner number three flowed an 11% difference on average.In direct comparison, the same test conducted on our AIRTEC Motorsport manifold revealed a difference of just 2% on runner number one and only 4% on runner number three, therefore providing much more equal balance across the cylinders, which is crucial for safe and efficient fuelling as well as consistent power and torque. Direct Replacement Fit We also completed our secondary goal of ensuring the manifold was a true direct replacement by utilising the original throttle body and pipework. The manifold also includes moulded fixing tabs to secure the coolant lines and wiring loom, which secure in place as per the original. Lastly, the manifold allows the original rubber gaskets to transfer over for a simple and easy installation process. If you have an AIRTEC Motorsport catch can fitted, please choose from the drop down menu, as the breather fittings require different take offs.Please note: the manifold has been designed to also allow a larger 54mm throttle body to fit if preferred, but this will require additional works to the boost pipework and ECU. Construction Made from high-quality cast aluminium for increased strength over the original plastic assembly, the manifold is finished in high-quality powder-coated black for a neat OEM+ look to improve the appearance of the engine bay. Response also appeared to increase lower in the rev range and with mapping to suit, further increases would likely to be seen. It features a high-quality laser cut bracket, finished in powder-coated satin black, which allows the catch can to attach neatly in place. The can itself features an internal baffle and dipstick and detaches to allow easy maintenance. Why do I need a catch can?The original oil breather set up can cause issues with carbon build-up inside the engine’s intake system over time. It forms an oily sludge that covers parts of the intake and inlet valves, which reduces air flow and therefore performance and efficiency. Once the build-up has formed, it’s a costly process to clean, so it makes sense to take preventative measures in order to avoid carbon build-up forming. A catch can also filters harmful contaminants before they can reach the inlet system. Developed in-house at AIRTEC HQ in the UK, we’ve created a comprehensive solution to improving the car’s oil cooling ability for modified i20N owners who struggle to maintain steady oil temperatures on track, or during fast road use. With vast experience in developing uprated oil cooler packages for a variety of modified track and road cars, the challenge with this kit was to integrate a large capacity, external oil cooler neatly behind the bumper with the limited space available. As a result, our kit includes a bespoke oil cooler design with the mounting brackets welded into position to ensure the perfect fitment. The front part of the original undertray on these cars is notoriously weak due to its fibre material construction and as a result is prone to failure over time. Our solution is a direct replacement undertray made in aluminium that reuses all of the original mounting points to ensure a perfect and secure fitment. A direct replacement part that offers increases in performance and response, the enlarged turbo inlet elbow features a freer-flowing design with an increased internal diameter. How it worksThe original elbow begins at 43mm from the turbo inlet and gradually tapers up to just 53mm in diameter as it reaches the induction pipe work. This causes an unnecessary restriction within the intake side that hampers flow and limits throttle response. Our AIRTEC Motorsport direct replacement cast aluminium elbow gently tapers from the turbo inlet out to a huge 76mm diameter, an increase of over 50% compared to the original and an increase of 106% in cross-sectional area. This increased volume and improved design works to reduce restriction and improve flow to the turbo. As part of our expanding Honda product range, AIRTEC Motorsport are proud to launch our uprated gearbox oil cooler suitable for track or fast road use. To date, there is no other company offering a gearbox oil cooler on the market, but our kit hasn’t just been designed to help cool the transmission, it also helps remove heat from the engine’s cooling system, which helps reduce crucial operating temperatures. This is because from the factory, there is a simple heat exchanger/oil Modine located by the gearbox that uses the engine’s coolant to help cool the gearbox oil. But by adding an external oil cooler into this existing loop, both gearbox and engine running temperature are effectively reduced. The substantial increase in gearbox oil volume thanks to the cooler and lines also help keep temperatures lower for longer. The oil cooler itself mounts neatly to a supplied replacement lower brace bar behind the rad pack that is stronger and more rigid than the original Honda brace it replaces. The comprehensive package also features an air duct panel to direct fresh air to the oil cooler. Made from lightweight aluminium that is laser cut for a perfect fitment, the panel features more ventilation slots for additional passive cooling under the engine and uses all the original fixings for a direct replacement. Finished in a high-quality black powder coat, the kit requires no trimming or cutting and can be reverted back to standard.
