Product Description The Forge Motorsport short shifter for the Hyundai i20N is an adjustable well engineered solution for those who want to reduce their vehicles gear shift throw. 3D Scan, CAD, and Print 3D scanning and 3D printed prototypes helped to develop the best solution for this short shifter. The most important part of the development for a short shifter is to ensure that the shift cables aren’t under further deflection than when connected to the OEM. The 3D Scans allowed us to locate the repositioned ball pin along the same plane as the OEM, and then the 3D print helped us to confirm our findings before taking the design to our in-house machine shop. As this is an adjustable short shifter, you can easily change shift length with a 16mm spanner. This creates a maximum reduction of over 33% per gear shift. The image below shows the difference between 1st gear when the shifter is in its OEM position and its shortest position with FMSS7 installed, as well as the shifter in situ. This reduces shift times along with the chance of selecting the wrong gear, making it the ideal modification for track day and fast road driving. The kit comes complete with everything you need for installation. Fitting can be carried out in around 1 hour and includes a set of instructions.

FMSS9 reduces shift times along with the chance of selecting the wrong gear, making it the ideal modification for track day and fast road driving. Renault hot hatches are well known for having a race inspired accuracy to the way they drive that allows the user to maximise their enjoyment from the road or track. However, the feeling of changing gears certainly isn’t at the same level of accuracy. FMSS9 is an adjustable, well engineered solution to this problem, which makes a remarkable difference especially when changing gears at high RPM. Fitting FMSS9 is as simple as it can get for a gearbox end short shifter; no specialist tools are required and most importantly the gearbox and OEM gearbox linkage stay in situ. Due to these vehicles being older, the OE linkage can be extremely difficult to remove. Therefore, keeping it in place not only saves both time and money on what would be an involved removal of the OEM gearbox linkage, but also maintains the gear weighting to ensure a smooth shift. Although FMSS9 was designed specifically for the Clio 3 Renault Sport 197/200, it will fit several vehicles that use the same gearbox (TL4). With FMSS9 being an adjustable kit, it allows for up to a 32% decrease in shift length compared to OEM. This can be adjusted closer to the OEM shift length if required. 3D scanning and 3D printed prototypes helped to develop the best solution for this short shifter. The most important part of the development for a short shifter is to ensure that the shift cables aren’t under further deflection than when connected to the OEM. The 3D Scans allowed us to locate the repositioned ball pin along the same plane as the OEM, and then the 3D print helped us to confirm our findings before taking the design to our in-house machine shop. When reviewing the design, it was clear that the shift cable was going to be under tension, therefore a replacement shift cable bracket was developed for the FMSS9 kit. FMSS9 bolts over the OEM shifting mechanism, meaning that installation is far easier than other gearbox end short shifters. The full instructions run through how to fit this to the Clio 3 RS platform, however the TL4 gearbox is shared across other vehicles. Fitting can be carried out in around 1.5 hours with a modest tool set on your driveway.

OK, these Mounts aren't the most visible or sexy of modifications. But for those in the know, with high-power cars or who use their car regularly on track, our Uprated Engine Mount Set is truly one of the most worthwhile upgrades to the driving dynamics of their car. Suitable for either DSG or manual cars. The Uprated Full Set of Engine Mount stiffens the whole location of the drivetrain greatly to give a much tighter, sharper feeling to your car. It removes the loose feeling when coming on and off-throttle during aggressive gearchanges, and banishes wheel-hop under hard acceleration as the whole engine and 'box assembly judders.This adds strength to the drivetrain, helping to protect from future wear and breakages. Rather than some aftermarket 'push in' bushes which crudely fill the voids in the original factory mounts, the RacingLine mounts are a completely redesigned replacement mount assembly and torque link. Make no mistake, the full uprated engine mount kit is a relatively extreme modification to make to your car. Naturally, more noise from the drivetrain comes into the cabin (and more than when the Lower Engine Mount only is fitted), but most keen drivers love the sense that they are more 'connected' to their car, and the gentle 'growl' that the mount conveys. Allow a few hundred miles/kms of driving for the mount to settle in after installation. LOWER MOUNT. For most hard-driven road cars, we recommend starting with the Lower Mount only. You can always add the two upper engine and gearbox mounts at a later stage. A lot the fore/aft movement in the drivetrain is controlled by the Lower Mount - meaning that changing it alone makes a big difference to your drive. The additional two upper mounts add more strength, but also add in more NVH (noise, vibration, harshness). Our A5-platform mount (think Golf 5/6/Scirocco/S3 8P etc) is a two-piece unit pressed into the subframe. It's a clever dual-durometer design, and features a cut-out to clear bigger roll-bars on the 4WD cars. The MQB & MQB 'EVO' platform Lower Mount also includes a billet aluminium Torque Link. Our testing showed that the pressed steel part used on the MQB-platform cars lack the stiffness needed. What do they do? The RacingLine upper and lower Twin Dogbone Mount Insert is one of the most affordable and transformative upgrades you can do to your MQB/MQB Evo car. By slipping the RacingLine Twin Dogbone Insert into the voids of your factory lower engine mount you will stiffen the whole location of the drivetrain greatly to give a much tighter, sharper, more responsive feeling to your car. Crucially, fitting both the two-piece upper and lower inserts of the RacingLine Twin Dogbone Insert eliminates the bending forces that can cause damage and ultimately failure if just one insert is fitted (as many others offer). The RacingLine Twin Dogbone Insert limits the compliance of the lower engine mount by filling the large voids with our two billet inserts.
