All too often OEM components sacrifice performance in an effort to appeal to a wide variety of customers. While an enthusiast typically wants better boost response and more power, all while hearing the turbocharger breathe, a non-enthusiast may give up these characteristics for a quieter ride. Give your 3.0T Audi B9 S4 or S5 the performance it deserves and engage with your car for a more enjoyable driving experience!  In the case of the factory turbo inlet pipe, mounted between the compressor housing and air intake hose, its purpose is to channel air from the inlet hose into the turbocharger inlet, all while reducing engine bay acoustics and sacrificing quality materials in favor of cheap molded plastic material. With the ECS Big Bore Turbo Inlet Pipe, the factory inlet pipe is removed and replaced with our straight-through, high flow cast aluminum inlet. This increases available airflow and turbocharger sound by creating a larger, smoother transition between the turbo inlet hose and compressor housing inlet. To top things off, the flange and bungs are TIG welded, machined billet aluminum to ensure longevity, strength, and dimensional accuracy.   Key features:  Cast aluminum construction 55mm ID at the turbo inlet to maximize air flow (compared to stock 52.2mm) with an 11% increase in area 66mm ID at the intake elbow Retains factory PCV return and wire loom anchors Machined billet flange and bungs for a precision fit and durability  Oil resistant o-ring and stainless hardware included   Performance: Increased bore diameter for increased flow and reduced restriction to the turbo At -20 in Hg test pressure, the stock inlet has a flow rate of 327 CFM vs the ECS inlet which has a flow rate of 382 CFM, a 16.8% increase in flow rate over the stock plastic inlet! Product Details The plastic coolant connections are subjected to constant abuse, being exposed to a wide range of temperatures on a daily basis. If let go for too long, a broken fitting could cause a major coolant leak and costly repairs. The ECS Carbon Fiber Fuse Box / ECU Cover adds unique, authentic carbon fiber styling to the underhood of your MQB platform vehicle without any permanent modifications. Easily installs with our  conveniently pre-applied 3M tape to the underside of the cover. It's unique styling not only covers the black plastic fuse box lid, but it also has a wing that extends over the unsightly ECU clamshell bracket to further enhance engine bay styling.   PART DESIGN Our in-house engineering team was tasked with making our cover fit perfectly atop the fuse box lid and to also cover the ugly ECU clamshell bracket. Our R&D Team spent a considerable amount of time designing every feature to perfectly execute the strict styling requirements associated atop the Gen3 engine. After multiple design iterations, ensuring that every edge and every line was made to perfectly compliment the complex and unique features that the Gen3 engine bears, we were finally satisfied with the shear beauty and styling transformation that our Carbon Fiber Engine Cover provides.  A brushed aluminum logo plate, featuring a screen-printed ECS Tuning logo, is pre-installed onto the engine cover for timeless appeal and decor. Openings within the engine cover expose the ignition coils to compliment our similar styling to the Gen1 TSI ECS Carbon Fiber Engine Cover. * Engine oil cap functionality is retained so you can easily top-off your engine oil between services without engine cover removal. Engine oil filter housing cap clearance is maintained for visual appeal only (compatible with OEM and ECS Billet Oil Filter Housing). We recommend removing the engine cover while performing an engine oil and filter service to avoid engine cover damage.  Further design considerations were strategically made such as clearance for "most" aftermarket intake systems, ECS catch can breather hoses, OEM and ECS oil dipstick functionality and perfect accommodations to clear the ignition coil harness. Styling amongst the engine itself were added into our design including the intake manifold plenum shape where our engine cover perfectly wraps and covers the unpleasing OE plastic intake manifold. Individual intake runner profiles compliment the OE design and further add engine bay styling; being careful not to take any mechanical styling away from the engine our engineers worked to keep the engine looking like an engine. Slots between the intake runner covers keep cleaning and maintenance down as no dirt can be trapped between the runners.  Installing the ECS Engine Cover is simple! The included ball studs thread quickly into the OE plastic intake manifold bosses. From there the pre-installed engine cover mounting grommets snap right over the OE and ECS ball studs. The ECS Engine Cover can then be installed or removed just like the factory cover without any further tools needed.  Sold as a complete kit, our Carbon Fiber Engine Cover kit includes 2 specific ball studs for installation and a complete, pre-assembled Engine Cover. Intake systems and other underhood accessories are not included but are available separately. Product Details    Protect your oiling system with confidence with our ECS Stainless Steel Oil Pan! Able to handle more abuse than the original, fragile plastic oil pan, all while retaining major ground clearance * and increasing oil capacity simultaneously. If you've ever worried about rocks or debris in the road compromising your fragile oil pan, this is MUST HAVE PROTECTION!  Not just another aluminum pan susceptible to cracking, our pan is beefy! Made from 11 gauge (1/8") T304 stainless steel and then 100% TIG welded and pressure checked for a perfect seal. To further ensure optimum sealing capacity, the mounting flange is thick, laser cut from 3/16" thick T304 stainless and then post machined and checked for flatness to our tight tolerances. Added strength and modularity is added into our design with six sturdy side gussets that are welded to the side walls and mounting flange surface. A welded-on M14x1.5mm bung converts your Gen3 engine to a standard, easy to use drain plug with our included ECS Magnetic Drain Plug. Factory provisions for the OEM oil level sensor are retained for direct, plug and play functionality. Topping off our pan is a laser cut "ECS" logo in the front corner for a subtle finishing touch.  Increasing oil capacity and ensuring oil temps stay in the safe zone were incorporated into our design. By bringing the sump further forward we were able to utilize more volume, approximately 1.0 - 1.5 Liters of added oil capacity, which helps extend oil service intervals and maintains more consistent operating temperatures.
