Having previously designed a number of enclosed induction kits for other performance models, we were keen to develop an extensive intake package for the Mk8 Fiesta ST to offer significant improvements. Featuring a large, free-flowing cotton air filter housed inside a three-piece enclosure, the comprehensive kit also includes a replacement aluminium intake pipe. To ensure the new air filter does not suffer with heat soak issues from the confines of the engine bay, the laser cut heat shields provide a barrier from the heat of the engine and is fed cold air from the original front intake. The result is increased power, improved throttle response, heightened induction noise and a more pleasing look to the engine bay. The kit is a direct replacement that requires no additional drilling or cutting to fit, and comes complete with all the correct fixtures and fittings, as well as detailed instruction Optional Secondary Cold Air Feed: To increase the volume of cold air directed towards the air box, there is also an optional cold air feed inlet, which fits in place to the underside of the new air box. With vast experience in developing uprated cooling packages for a variety of modified track and road cars, the challenge with the Mk8 Fiesta ST was the very limited available space directly behind the open grille area. As a result, we developed an innovative air guide solution to help direct larger volumes of cold air towards the original top air intake feed. The size of the air guides are not only larger than standard but the guide also features a side air duct, utilising the space in the upper right-hand section of the grille area to feed cold air through trunking to either the Enclosed Induction Kit or our soon to be released AIRTEC Motorsport Oil Cooler Kit. Made from aluminium, the kit includes all fixtures and fittings, including instructions, for a simple bolt-on installation. The kit is designed to integrate seamlessly with the car’s existing features and requires no drilling or cutting, so is completely reversible if need be. With vast experience in developing uprated cooling packages for a variety of modified track and road cars, the challenge with the Mk8 Fiesta ST was the very limited available space directly behind the open grille area. As a result, we developed an innovative air guide solution to help direct larger volumes of cold air towards the original top air intake feed. The size of the air guides are not only larger than standard but the guide also features a side air duct, utilising the space in the upper right-hand section of the grille area to feed cold air through trunking to either our  Enclosed Induction Kit or our soon to be released AIRTEC Motorsport Oil Cooler Kit. Made from aluminium, the kit includes all fixtures and fittings, including instructions, for a simple bolt-on installation. The kit is designed to integrate seamlessly with the car’s existing features and requires no drilling or cutting, so is completely reversible if need be. Its improved cooling efficiency and easy fitment makes it an essential modification for all modified Mk8 ST models. The duct offers a simple solution to improving the differential’s cooling ability, which helps to ensure rising temperatures don’t cause any damage. How it worksWhen the oil inside the differential gets hot, its ability to lubricate and protect both the gears and LSD is reduced. This is more likely to occur during extended periods of hard use, such as on track, so it is beneficial to stabilise and reduce temperatures in order to limit premature wear. The AIRTEC Motorsport cooling duct works by directing fast-flowing air passing underneath the car towards the differential’s cooling fins, which rely purely on air flow to shed heat effectively. By providing more sustained air flow to these fins, the differential’s cooling capacity and ability to withstand heat soak is increased, which therefore allows it to better control operating temperatures in comparison to standard.
