Direnza Direnza - VW Golf MK7 | Audi A3 8V TT 8S | Seat Leon 5F | Skoda Octavia 5E 2.0T - Aluminium Offside Engine Torque Mount
Following two years of extensive testing and development, Direnza is proud to present a revolution in engine mount design. Based on the findings of research into the limitations of conventional engine mounts, Direnza’s new design dramatically increases the strength of the connection between engine and vehicle chassis compared with stock mounts, significantly reducing a motor’s movement under load and during hard cornering. Created by automotive engineers using sophisticated CAD software, and honed with finite element analysis (FEA), Direnza’s new engine mounts noticeably improve throttle and turn-in response, as confirmed by professional drivers during road and track testing sessions. Enhancing the appearance of any engine bay, the mount bodies are manufactured from aircraft grade 6061-T6 aluminum anodized black, and are complemented by stiff poly bushings finished in contrasting red. As a special touch, the Direnza logo is machine-etched into the mount body. ECS Tuning ECS TUNING - Engine Mount - Without Auxiliary Mounting Ear
ECS Tuning has the set the bar once again. After years of Research & Development and stringent product testing by our in house engineers, we are proud to release the best engineered Engine Mount on the market! Designed and manufactured in the USA using the finest quality materials, we have designed a Performance Engine Mount that controls fore/aft engine movement and allows for seamless power transfer to the tires all while being EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE! Wheel hop is eliminated, throttle response is improved and gear engagement is more precise. Locking the engine in place is accomplished through two vertically captured 70A Durometer Polyurethane Bushings, encapsulated between three 6061-T6 Billet Machined Aluminum bodies using a corrosion resistant securing bolt. Our design on the MQB cars had to be unique, as this new vehicle brought upon new design challenges. Using the same successful polyurethane material used in other chassis, our metal components were revised to fit the MQB application. Throughout rigorous long term testing we proved our design choices were successful with countless miles, hard launches and abuse, pushing our engine mounts to their limits! Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) are minimized over our competitors due to years of product testing and development. Designed to absorb NVH while withstanding extreme driveline forces, we've engineered our bushings using an optimal formula and durometer polyurethane, tuning the natural frequency and preload to the forcing frequency of the engine. These are the most comfortable engine mounts we've ever designed and we can't wait for you to experience them first hand! This allows for smooth power delivery through the driveline and to the tires, all with very minimal chassis feedback to balance comfort with performance. All machined components are constructed of strong and lightweight 6061-T6 Billet Aluminum and are then anodized black for a great appearance and corrosion resistance. Genuine Volkswagen Torque to Yield Fasteners are included for proper installation. Simply follow our helpful Installation PDF for installation notes and torque specifications. **Please note: Do not expose polyurethane bushings to engine coolant. Ethylene Glycol is known to degrade this material. If exposed promptly wipe away ALL traces of engine coolant.** This Part Fits the Following Vehicles Make Model Submodel Engine Audi A3 8V FWD 1.8T Audi A3 8V FWD 2.0T Audi A3 8V Quattro 2.0T Audi MK3 TT (2014+) Quattro 2.0T Volkswagen Alltrack All 1.8T Gen3 Volkswagen Golf VII Hatchback 1.8T Gen3 Volkswagen Golf VII Sportwagen 1.8T Gen3 Volkswagen Golf VII Hatchback 2.0T Gen3 Volkswagen Golf VII Facelift FWD 1.8T Gen3 Volkswagen Golf VII Facelift FWD 2.0T Gen3 Volkswagen Golf VII SportWagen Facelift 4Motion 1.8T Gen3 Volkswagen Golf VII SportWagen Facelift FWD 1.8T Gen3 Volkswagen Jetta VII GLI 2.0T Gen3 Volkswagen Tiguan MQB 4Motion 2.0T Gen3 Volkswagen Tiguan MQB FWD 2.0T Gen3 *The above product applications have been written by ECS Tuning. Revo MQB CHASSIS | ENGINE MOUNTS
REVO ENGINE MOUNTS More power results in more movement during aggressive acceleration. The stock engine mounts, designed to favour comfort over performance, fail to manage axle hop and torque effectively requiring you to ease off to gain traction. Designed to significantly reduce this engine movement, Revo engine mounts use Powerflex bushings to minimise noise, vibration and harshness levels (NVH) while drastically improving traction and acceleration. The engine, transmission and torque mounts have been CAD designed to offer OE quality fitment with the performance benefits and quality of a Revo product. KEY FEATURES Dramatically reduce engine movement Improved acceleration and torque Powerflex polyurethane bushings Comes with a removal tool for torque mount ENGINE & TRANSMISSION MOUNT The primary design goal of the engine and transmission mounts was to provide a management system for engine movement during vehicle operation with increased power/torque, to retain vehicle acceleration and tyre contact during aggressive driving. The aforementioned solution must also continue to dissipate the NVH naturally created by the drivetrain. To accomplish this, the bushing design of past Revo engine mounts was retained in the MQB engine and transmission mounts, allowing Revo engineers to focus their efforts on bushing stiffness/type to accomplish the task. TORQUE MOUNT Arguably the most vital engine mount upgrade to consider, testing highlighted that the engines stock lower torque mount allowed a substantial amount of engine movement to occur. Although some improvements were noted during testing of an insert style upgrade designed to stiffen the standard mount, there was a significant increase in NVH felt in the cabin. This was dramatically reduced when completely replaced with the Revo polyurethane torque mount and also improved acceleration. Fitting the mount does not require the sub-frame to be removed, reducing installation time and the need for axle re-alignment. A Revo installation tool is included to make removal of the OEM mount and installation of the replacement as quick and easy as possible. MATERIALS, MANUFACTURING & FITMENT Effective design and fitment play a principal role in managing engine movement to ensure optimal acceleration and tyre contact with the road while dissipating NVH experienced from the drivetrain. Each component has been designed using CAD technology to ensure precise fitment and is supplied with class 12.9 hardware to replace the standard fixings. To ensure optimum strength and durability, brackets and housings are CNC machined from 6061-billet aluminium and finished with an anodised coating to protect from heat and corrosion. POWERFLEX BUSHINGS Powerflex utilises a unique formula of polyurethane, custom-designed to ensure optimum fitment in the machined housings. After testing various amounts of compliance, our engineers were able to fine-tune the final bush to achieve a balance between performance and comfort. Polyurethane is also resistant to oil, fuel unlike the rubber used in the OEM mount which can lead to perishing and failure. Our specified durometers provide a stiffer mount to limit the engine movement without compromising on NVH (Noise Vibration Harshness) levels in the process. OEM COMFORT, AFTERMARKET PERFORMANCE To achieve the optimal balance between performance and comfort, several different durometer bushings were tested on a Volkswagen Golf Mk7 GTI. Bushings were systematically tested at precise increments at each mount location. A 3-axis accelerometer was used to quantify the NVH levels being transmitted into the cabin, as well as the acceleration of the drivetrain during loading. Accelerometer data gave us a way to compare mount combinations against each other with a low data error percentage and to quantify driver comfort as well as engine movement. Supplemental data was taken from VCDS to ensure each test was standardised over a given throttle, RPM and speed range. The graph shows the amount of vibration measured whilst driving through the gears.
