    The Forge Motorsport high flow turbo elbow for the RHD and LHD RS3 8V Facelift and TTRS 8S eliminates the highly restrictive Aluminium inlet pipe, and replaces it with our smooth bore multi-ply silicone hose which increases air flow, improving efficiency and performance. With 60% more volume than the stock elbow and paired with our high flow inlet pipe FMINLH8, this equates to increases of up to 20bhp along with power and torque being increased through the entire rev range which is a remarkable gain for an easy to fit bolt on modification. The high flow turbo elbow and inlet pipe has been specifically designed for stage 1 tuning and around 600 bhp. The stock elbow and inlet pipe simply can’t flow enough air to the turbo inlet, resulting in power limitations as customers hunt for further BHP and torque. Don’t be fooled by over enthusiastic aftermarket air filter power claims as the weakest link in the DAZAs intake system is the intake pipe and turbo elbow, a high flow panel filter and our intake configuration will give you all that is required. The high flow inlet elbow has a special iron oxide lining to prevent fatigue even in the most extreme conditions. We have also taken into consideration the increasing popularity of hybrid turbo conversions for the incredibly capable DAZA Audi engines by offering 3 different turbo adaptors, a choice can be made between the adaptors in the drop-down menu with the stock, TTE625, TTE700, or TTE777 coupler options. A terrific addition to the inlet pipe FMINLH8 is our specially designed heat reflective barrier tape, it reflects up to 80% of all radiant heat, whilst offering weight savings against other heat reflecting materials.     Forge Motorsport have a worldwide reputation of making industry leading parts for an array of performance vehicles; as such we’ve been able to work with some of most knowledgeable professionals in the tuning industry to produce the most versatile Audi RS3 performance intake on the market. 3D scans of left-hand drive (LHD) and right-hand drive (RHD) RS3 8Y’s and RS3 8V’s gave us 4 separate vehicle scans that we could then pull together into one file that has allowed us to create one intake that fits all 4 variations. So, no matter where you’re based in the world or whether you have an 8V or 8Y RS3, the Forge Motorsport FMINDK47 is the intake for you.   Trying to ensure that our performance intake is a one fit all solution also involved an understanding of how turbo inlets vary across the globe for the RS3 market. The OEM turbo elbow is an aluminium cast part with a 3” inlet tract that tapers down to the factory turbo charger cold side feed. Forge Motorsport offer and manufacture an upgraded silicone inlet elbow and turbo inlet adaptor (FMINLH9) not only to increase the area to the inlet tract but also the volumetric capacity. This has been increased to 3.5”and is the largest available product that fits RHD vehicles (due to space constraints with the brake master cylinder and is not physically possible to increase this size any further). However, this is not a problem on LHD vehicles, and as such there are various 4” variants available. To ensure our intake will work in conjunction with either the stock or any aftermarket inlet elbows on RHD or LHD vehicles we’ve incorporated an innovative solution that will be interchangeable if you wish to further enhance the engine performance of your Audi.  FMINDK47 incorporates and includes modular couplers so that it can fit any size turbo inlet you may choose to run. The machined end of the carbon intake where it meets the inlet tract to the elbow has a 4”(102mm) threaded billet attachment which tapers up to the huge 6” pleated filter on the intake side. At this billet alloy junction, it enables the end user to have interchangeable adaptors. Having this amount of adjustment with a vast increase in airflow allows this product to be suitable for stock or aftermarket turbo inlet solutions whether manufactured from silicone or aluminium. This enables the enthusiast to interchange the adaptors depending on if its currently stock or modified. FMINDK47 will support your RS3 to literally any state of tune.   Keeping inlet air temperatures (IAT’s) low is often a difficult part of developing induction systems, and several different variations were tested with FMINDK47. We decided on keeping the OEM air inlet to feed a specifically designed heat shield which sits flush up to the bonnet. An opening on the side opposite to the engine also helps with vehicles running stage 3+, as there is indirect airflow to this area and during testing a fully closed airbox caused restrictions.   Using carbon fibre brings obvious benefits of strength, weight, and aesthetics. However, a part that is often forgotten is its low thermal conductivity, which means it reduces heat soak and transmission of heat to nearby items. Replacing metal or plastic inlet solutions for FMINDK47 will help decrease IAT’s and increase the volume of air supplied to your vehicles engine that is compressed by the turbo charger. This has a better effect on performance when cool as this is to provide the engine with more oxygen (denser air), thus improving the combustion in each cylinder. In addition, by regulating and reducing the air temperature, it also increases the reliability of an engine by keeping the AFRs (air fuel ratios) in each cylinder at a safe level, which in turn, can increase an engines power due to the air being cooler. A bigger bang is then created within the cylinder, providing the correct amount of fuel is added. This can equate to an increase in BHP and torque.  We use SolidWorks CAD, 3D prints, and numerous dyno sessions to truly unlock the power. Simulation testing played a large part in the design process to help maximise the airflow. The 3D printed prototypes helped with comparing our simulation testing to real world driving conditions. This is a valuable comparison that is used in the top tiers of motorsport, now being brought to your vehicle. Being able to test 3 different 8Y RS3’s on 3 different independent dynos has been of vital importance to our development process. One of these RS3’s was (at the time of writing) the fastest 8Y RS3 in the world making 682Whp with FMINT33, FMINLH9, FMINDK47 installed along with a TTE777 Hybrid Turbo charger, this proves the FMINDK47 has great CFM airflow ratings over the standard intake system on vehicles with such a high state of tune.   The other vehicles tested were a UK RHD 8Y running FMINT33. We then changed out from the OEM turbo inlet to FMINLH9 to confirm the differences in BHP with these extra modifications. We were also able to test on a LHD 8Y that was completely stock.   With a completely stock tune vehicle we were able to see peak gains of 6BHP. However further analysis of the dyno graph shows that this peak BHP figure was produced 200RPM earlier (6097RPM instead of 6298RPM). Additionally, the power curves were smoothed across the entirety of the rev range, with gains seen across the board. To pull out some snapshots from the rev range as examples, at 3000RPM using just FMINDK47 saw an increase of 25BHP, and at 4500RPM there was an increase of 17BHP. Torque figures saw similar gains across the rev range, with a peak torque figure increasing by 17NM at around 100RPM earlier. When we analyse the dyno graph across the rev range, at 3000RPM using just FMINDK47 saw an increase in 55NM and at 4500RPM there was an increase of 23NM.   The gains lower in the rev range are truly impressive from a driver perspective this is where the benefits can be felt and is what typically puts you in your seat when the throttle is pressed. Vehicles with a stock tune, FMINLH9 and FMINT33 already installed hit a torque limiter earlier in the rev range with the addition of FMINDK47, which in turn can limit peak power results due to the engines ECU limiting power transmitted to the gearbox. So, if you have these three products installed, we highly recommend looking to tune your vehicle to really maximise the performance of the modifications installed. It’s worth remembering that this is with a stock ECU and no tune. We know from the independent testing we also completed on mapped cars (such as KSF’s) that the Forge Motorsport products create unparalleled performance.  It’s worth noting that this induction kit offers a massive amount of air to the EA855 EVO DAZA or DNWA engine, which is a must for anyone looking to push the performance of their RS3 when tuning to stage 1, stage 2, and beyond.     If your car is fitted with adaptive cruise control, we can additionally supply you with a billet bracket and fixings to enable the relocation of the ACC radar. Simply select the ACC option in the drop down menu above. No re-coding of the unit should be necessary. Following on from our very successful intercooler for the RS3 8P chassis, the Forge intercooler for the RS3 8V chassis builds on our reputation for delivering cores that offer real-world increases in power and temperature drops. Whilst the 8V chassis shares many components with the older 8P, the space available behind the bumper is a different shape and the crash bar has also changed. This required a whole new intercooler and crash bar setup for this latest chassis* The RS3 8V core is a huge 640x250x100 and of bar and plate design. This gives it a huge 55% more surface area than stock, and an even more impressive 94% more volume. The end tanks are made with integrated pipes in order to retain the stock boost hoses, though you can also replace the hoses with our FMKT024 boost hose set if you so wish. Just like on the 8P chassis, we supply a genuine Audi RS3 crash bar which we modify in house in order to accept the new larger core, then finish both the crash bar and core in our standard black crackle finish powder coat for maximum longevity. As shown in the graph above, for both tests we let the car heatsoak on the dyno until the radiator fans tripped on and off (which gives an inlet temperature of 36 deg C), then do a dyno pull from there. This gives a more consistent result and reflects real-world driving conditions more accurately. You can easily see the Forge intercooler cools much quicker and delivers a much greater drop in temperature compared to OEM. On the standard car we tested on, it made 362bhp completely stock (so largely in line with what Audi quote) with a peak intake temperature of 58°C. With just this intercooler fitted and no other modifications, the same car made 386bhp with a peak inlet temperature of 23°C, a gain of 24bhp and a drop of 35°C. Gains on mapped cars will likely be even more impressive as the stock intercooler core really starts to struggle on stage 1 mapped cars. The kit contains full instructions for installation, which should take around 3.5 hours, and a complete kit which includes everything needed. The above dyno graph shows a Forge customer making gains of 52HP with this intercooler  5 / 5 stars - “In short, this product does what it states!” Working with Litchfield and their Technical Partners (Forge) I have conducted extensive testing to support the development of Litchfield tuning packages for the Audi RS3 8V. Whilst the OEM intercooler is “OK”, very rapidly on repeated road and dyno Wide Open Throttle (WOT) sweeps, the air charge temps quickly rise to levels that impact performance (pulling ignition). To extract the full potential out of the tuning packages and increase repeatability of results and improve overall reliability, I turned to Forge and their upgraded front mount intercooler. Not one for just using a product because of “sales speak”, I extensively tested the Forge offering. The conclusion based on the data logging, mapping and final results was clear. Monitoring charge temps with back to back tests instantly showed us that the cooling efficiency with the Forge product was significantly better. Comparing OEM intercooler charge temps for the coolest first run, against the Forge intercooler on it’s third repeated back to back run (really pushing this comparison with heat soak), the Forge intercooler saw a drop of 18degs peak over the OEM unit (on it’s coolest run with no heat soak). Repeated runs on the OEM intercooler saw the difference widen even more by up to 34degs higher (peak) than the Forge intercooler. Repeated runs between the OEM and Forge intercooler (all completed on the same day) saw the following peak values: OEM - 60degs Forge - 26degs The Forge intercooler also held the lowest charge temperature for longer. This sounds all fine and dandy but what does all this mean in relation to performance? First off Litchfield was able to develop their ECU calibrations without needing to worry about charge temperatures impacting performance. The car spent many hours on the dyno and completed many back to back runs. Over 30 different calibrations were created and tested. Not once did Litchfield need to let the car cool down between runs. The end result was a solid and repeatable 450+bhp achieved with only their ECU calibration, Forge Intercooler and secondary cat removal. Recently (March 2017), the car at this level of modification (Litchfield Stage 2) achieved a stonking 11.5s @ 118+mph quarter mile run at Santa Pod. This is the quickest time that we are aware of in the UK, for an RS3 8V at this level of modification using normal pump fuel, no weight reduction and on stock tyres. The car also achieved the 60mph sprint in 3.2s, the 100mph sprint in 7.9s and 100-200kmh sprint in 8.9s on this same run. I look forward to seeing how the Forge intercooler will complement Stage 3 development.     This valve kit is an evolution of the FMARSDV dump valve we market for the 8P chassis RS3. It was developed for those who have tuned, or plan to tune, their 8S chassis Audi TTRS or 8V chassis Audi RS3 in excess of 450hp. Audi have seen fit to not change the design of the OEM dump valve from the previous RS3, so the same issues are carried over to the new 8V chassis, namely it was observed that cars over 450bhp were randomly getting errors from the stock solenoid dump valve not functioning. Whilst the stock valve will operate as designed, with the boost level necessary for 450bhp the stock valve couldn’t move the volume of air it needed to, so the ECU was seeing too great a positive boost in the MAP readings between gearchanges and assuming the stock valve wasn’t functioning correctly. We looked closely at this issue, and noted that there would be no real fix for this as the size of the hole for the valve is too small in the stock elbow. We decided that we would re-design and produce our own elbow, allowing a much larger DV port, which in turn would allow fitment of a larger valve to take advantage of it. We also improved the internal flow of the elbow and removed restriction within the valve.     This oil catch tank kit is for the Audi TTRS 8S and Audi RS3 2017-on, developed by our in-house development team. Not only is it beautifully designed, it has been created to capture the maximum amount of harmful contaminants, including oil deposits, unused fuel vapours and moisture, all of which would ordinarily make their way back through to the inlet of the engine. Extensive testing has proven our oil catch tank kit's ability to effectively reduce sludge and carbon build up, in turn allowing the engine to both breathe and perform more efficiently. It can therefore be viewed as a genuine performance enhancing product and one we recommend, particularly if you are planning more advanced power tuning at a later date. The 0.4l (400cc) catch tank boasts a collection of features intended to make it both easy to check and simple to drain, including a dipstick for level inspection and a well placed drain tap. The design of the kit has also been carefully considered, hence its inner tube which is constructed from anti-static smooth fuel resistant nitrile rubber. This is paired with an outer cover made from reinforced stainless steel wire braid (a Forge specialty), specifically a partial inner braid and a full cover outer braid. We developed this complex arrangement in order for the tank to be resistant to both pressure expansion and vacuum collapse, and also to enable the kit to function within a clearly defined temperature range – 54°C to +150°C (-65°F to 300°F) Finally, this kit includes machined billet fittings that are anodised black to form an OEM-looking product when installed. Please note: We have found that on some late RS3 and TTRS models from 2019 onwards an additional breather has been added to the PCV. If your engine has the additional breather the catch can will NOT fit. To check this, remove your vehicles engine cover and check the visible PCV unit.     The Forge Motorsport high flow intake pipe for the Audi RS3 8V face lift and TTRS 8S, eliminates the highly restrictive plastic inlet pipe by increasing the inlet bore diameter from 70mm to 89mm outer diameter. This increases air flow and maximises the volume of air being forced into the engine, improving efficiency and performance. The FMINLH8 is designed for use with the standard airbox and works superbly with a performance panel filter. This modification can equate to increases of up to 10hp on mapped vehicles which is a remarkable gain for an easy to fit bolt on modification. We recommend also buying our reflective gold heat resistant wrap to aid with keeping the inlet charge temperatures as low as possible.
