Product Details     ECS Exact-Fit stainless reinforced clutch hoses provide more confident and dependable clutch operation by maintaining consistent pedal pressure, long lasting corrosion resistance, and increased protection from failure.  Even when new, factory style fabric mesh lined rubber hoses are prone to expansion under the pressure of hard driving and clutch engagement. This expansion is even more prominent in aged and weathered rubber hoses and greater risks are accompanied when using a heavier pressure plate with an aftermarket clutch kit. The expansion within the clutch hose can cause the clutch to not disengage properly, making gear changes difficult during quick shifting.  These Clutch Hoses are engineered and assembled with braided stainless steel mesh and offer superior expansion resistance and reinforcement. The resistance to expansion creates a firmer pedal, and a more direct pedal feel. The signature red polymer coating provides additional protection from the elements and abrasion common with the constant movement of the drivetrain system. Product Details    Protect your oiling system with confidence with our ECS Stainless Steel Oil Pan! Able to handle more abuse than the original, fragile plastic oil pan, all while retaining major ground clearance * and increasing oil capacity simultaneously. If you've ever worried about rocks or debris in the road compromising your fragile oil pan, this is MUST HAVE PROTECTION!  Not just another aluminum pan susceptible to cracking, our pan is beefy! Made from 11 gauge (1/8") T304 stainless steel and then 100% TIG welded and pressure checked for a perfect seal. To further ensure optimum sealing capacity, the mounting flange is thick, laser cut from 3/16" thick T304 stainless and then post machined and checked for flatness to our tight tolerances. Added strength and modularity is added into our design with six sturdy side gussets that are welded to the side walls and mounting flange surface. A welded-on M14x1.5mm bung converts your Gen3 engine to a standard, easy to use drain plug with our included ECS Magnetic Drain Plug. Factory provisions for the OEM oil level sensor are retained for direct, plug and play functionality. Topping off our pan is a laser cut "ECS" logo in the front corner for a subtle finishing touch.  Increasing oil capacity and ensuring oil temps stay in the safe zone were incorporated into our design. By bringing the sump further forward we were able to utilize more volume, approximately 1.0 - 1.5 Liters of added oil capacity, which helps extend oil service intervals and maintains more consistent operating temperatures. We also took our design a step further and added an integrated baffle plate to keep engine oil fixed around the oil pickup tube. Not available on OEM oil pans, our baffle plate helps to minimize oil starvation during hard cornering and braking.  Our pan is in-house designed and tested, made in the U.S.A. and engineered for the elements. A long-winded design journey that took several design revisions and multiple prototypes, we're proud to finally offer a SERIOUS oil pan with SERIOUS protection to the VW/Audi market! ECS GEOMETåâ premium brake discs for the MQB Platform vehicles using a 310x22mm Rear Brake disc from factory. ECS GEOMETåâ premium brake discs start with quality materials and precision ECS machining. That would be enough for most of us, but it is only the beginning. To prevent brake pad deposits for better braking, select a slotted ECS GEOMETåâ brake disc. Slotting cleans the pads by moving water, gasses, and contaminants away from the pad/disc contact surface. To prevent corrosiaon pitting and rust damage, ECS GEOMETåâ discs are sprayed with a special water-based solution, then heated to cure the coating and remove all oil residue remaining from the manufacturing process. These added steps create a durable, lasting rotor surface that resists road salt, solvents, and other corrosives. GEOMETåâ is a proprietary water-based coating that contains metal oxides, metallic zinc, and aluminum flakes. More environmentally friendly than other treatments containing toxic metals, GEOMETåâ coating contains no nickel, cadmium, barium, or mercury. Our 2-Piece rotors combine the advantages of weight savings and rapid heat dissipation to provide a rotor superior to stock while preventing warping and extending component life. The 18% reduction of unsprung weight by (4.2 pounds per rotor) improves handling characteristics under all situations. This reduction in rotational inertia allows for quicker acceleration, decreased braking distances, and more responsive handling. Features include: Aluminum hats: To save weight, each rotor ring is bolted to a lightweight aluminum hat made from high quality 6061 aluminum, and hard anodized with an attractive matte black finish that is both durable and corrosion resistant. Gray cast iron rings: Long known for its wear resistance and stable friction characteristics, cast iron is favored for brake rotors due to its ability to absorb and dissipate large amounts of heat. 2-Piece construction: Conventional rotors are made from 1 solid block of cast iron, causing them to be typically quite heavy and not able to quickly dissipate heat. ECS rotor hats are bolted directly to the rotor ring for massive weight savings and better ability to dissipate braking temperatures.  Heat treated: Heat treating further reduces the tendency for rotor cracking by reducing internal rotor stresses. ECS 2-Piece rotors feature side-specific directionally curved vanes which pump air through the rotor at a higher velocity, leading to consistent, rapid cooling on both sides equally.    The air velocity in curved vane rotors is higher than pillar-post rotors and straight vane rotors, and as such curved vane rotors have been shown to cool more effectively. ECS Slotted 2-Piece rotors are slotted to clean brake pads and carry away water and brake dust. Slotting reduces the effects of pad glazing that often results from extremely high temperatures by continually cleaning the pad surface, resulting in more consistent stopping. Slots are machined with a ball end mill to prevent cracking that may be present on improperly machined rotors.  Overall weight savings: This particular ECS 2-Piece rotor weighs only 19.80lbs compared to a stock GTI (PP) / Golf R rotor at 24.0lbs. That's exactly what you'll get with our ECS in house designed and developed Turbo Blanket. Made specifically for the OEM MK7 1.8T/2.0T Gen3 turbochargers, this blanket fits like a glove! Don't be fooled by lesser quality alternatives from other suppliers. These are made in the USA by a world leader in insulation technologies with American-made quality materials and workmanship! The sole purpose of insulating the turbine housing (exhaust driven impeller) of your turbocharger is to contain the massive amounts of radiant heat that is expelled by the super hot exhaust gasses within. By containing the heat within the turbine housing, overall engine efficiency is improved and component life can be extended on other nearby parts. Expect lower intake air temps than before as the associated induction parts are no longer being heat soaked to such a high degree by the hot turbocharger.  Turbocharger response time is also improved (less turbo lag) as the heat energy is contained within the turbine housing. The ECS Carbon Fiber Fuse Box / ECU Cover adds unique, authentic carbon fiber styling to the underhood of your MQB platform vehicle without any permanent modifications. Easily installs with our  conveniently pre-applied 3M tape to the underside of the cover. It's unique styling not only covers the black plastic fuse box lid, but it also has a wing that extends over the unsightly ECU clamshell bracket to further enhance engine bay styling.   PART DESIGN Our in-house engineering team was tasked with making our cover fit perfectly atop the fuse box lid and to also cover the ugly ECU clamshell bracket. It's design perfectly works with both standard AND lock-box cover ECU's.  It also retains the quick disengagement feature of locking clips for easy removal and installation to service the fuses underneath.  The included plastic-purpose 3M tape is properly selected for the harsh goings within the engine-bay environment and easily sticks on to the fuse box lid with relative ease once cleaned and dried.  The ECS Carbon Fiber Fuse Box / ECU Cover is made from lightweight, hand laid carbon fiber material with pre-impregnated carbon fiber cloth, epoxy resin and then finished in a durable gloss clear coat for UV and heat protection for continuous operating temperatures of up to 300° F.   PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT Our ECS Carbon Fiber Fuse Box / ECU Cover was designed, engineered, tested and quality inspected by our Research and Development team in our Wadsworth, Ohio facility.     In most vehicle applications, the corrugated turbo inlet hose found in the intake system is not designed for performance or modification. It was designed to get the job done, and when adding a performance filter, intake, or tune the stock inlet hose can start to show it's weakness when suction from the turbocharger is increased. The ECS Carbon Fiber Turbo Inlet Pipe was designed in-house and made with high quality hand laid carbon fiber layers providing a strong and secure fit. A smooth interior provides unimpeded airflow, while the carbon fiber exterior adds an appearance upgrade to any engine bay.    PART DESIGN The carbon fiber pipe is constructed from 2x2 twill weave carbon fiber, gloss clear coated for UV and heat protection for continuous operating temperatures of up to 300°. Designed to fit perfectly in place of the factory accordion pipe, our CAD design assures a smooth gradual transition from the intake/airbox to the turbo inlet. The included silicone hose couplers allow clean fitment of any intake setup; The smooth, straight coupler is used with a hard mounted intake pipe configurations to the engine (such as ECS Kohlefaser Luft-Technik mounted to the cylinder head) The accordion rubber coupler is used with OE-type mounting configurations (such as OEM airbox)   PERFORMANCE FEATURES With its smooth interior surface as compared to the OEM accordion tube's ribbed, turbulent interior you can expect a smoother transition from air filter to the turbo inlet. This has allowed us to create FMINDK44, the second induction kit we have available for the EA888 gen 3 and gen 4 platform (alongside our carbon fibre variant, FMINDK40). This kit features either a Forge Motorsport Ram Air high flow, pleated, synthetic nanofiber filtration filter or a Pipercross foam filter. Both are manufactured for optimum size and fit to the available space giving superior flow and filtration with enhanced breathing for the 2.0 turbo charged engine. It also features a larger surface area than the stock filter and many competitors’ alternatives. The intake diameter has been carefully tuned to provide exactly the correct quantity of air for consistent power gains throughout the rev range and minimising the chance of low-end torque loss; the pipework is specifically designed to feed the turbo without interruption. The result of this is a gain of induction acoustics under acceleration, which improves the driving experience and adds a bit more drama to the EA888 engine. With the use of SolidWorks, our CAD engineers have designed the heat shroud to fit round all the contours of the engine bay. This shroud combined with our specially formulated thermal coatings protects the intake from radiant heat while also guiding the cold air from the OE cold air ducting to the filter and housing. The majority of our dyno testing was done on our VW Golf R MK8 EA888 Gen 4, as such you may find slight variations in gains when fitted to other vehicles sharing this engine. During the final prototypes testing we found that the induction kit with stock turbo inlet produced gains on average of 3.5BHP. However, when paired with our turbo inlet adaptor FMTIA5 (RHD), FMTIA6, or FMTIA9 (LHD), or FMINLMK7, this is where the stock EA888 gen4 engine saw impressive gains, increasing power up to 13BHP at 6500RPM with a significant average power increase from 4500RPM to the 6700RPM Rev limit of 8BHP; while the drivability and the punch from extra torque increases can be felt on the road at between 4000RPM to the rev limit an average gain of 17NM is achieved. It’s worth remembering that this is with a stock ECU and no tune, so we would expect to see mapped cars returning even greater yields of power.     Why Do We Try To Decrease Inlet Air Temperatures (IAT’S)? By utilising the OEM cold air feed, and keeping the heat shield open on the headlight corner side we were able to see a decrease in IAT’s compared to the OEM during testing. By ensuring that the intake heat shield is open on this side it also means that vehicles being tuned to stage 2/3+ have a reduced risk of being restricted with them pulling in a greater quantity of air. Temperature and volume of air supplied to your vehicles engine that is compressed by the turbo charger has a better effect on performance when cool as this is to provide the engine with more oxygen (denser air), thus improving the combustion in each cylinder. In addition, by regulating and reducing the air temperature, it also increases the reliability of an engine by keeping the AFRs (Air Fuel Ratios) in each cylinder at a safe level, which in turn can increase an engines power due to the air being cooler. A bigger bang is then created within the cylinder, providing the correct amount of fuel is added. This can equate to an increase in BHP and torque. It’s worth noting that this induction kit offers a massive amount of air to the EA888 engine, which is a must for anyone looking to push the performance when tuning to stage1, stage 2 and beyond. Not only do you get the bhp performance benefits, but FMINDK44 also offers a greater sound from the engine; particularly when on boost, and our product testers have reported a more responsive throttle too. Careful consideration into the other platforms that share the same engine configurations had also been at the forefront of our development engineers’ minds. This needed various vehicles to be sourced to ensure a perfect fit for many of the VAG groups performance vehicles. You have only got to look at our compatibility list to realise how much research and development has gone into this extraordinary performance induction kit. The kit comes complete with everything you need for installation, which can be carried out in around 1 hour, including a set of full colour instructions. For such an easy to fit product it truly does create some remarkable gains. The kit has been designed not just to increase power but to fit a whole range of vehicles on the MQB platform.
