Included in the kit: Front Wishbone Front BushesFront Wishbone Rear Bushes (Also Known as Console Bushes) The MacPherson strut front suspension layouton the VWG ‘A5’ platform cars (such as Golf 5, 6, Scirocco, A3, S3, Leon, Octavia) is a common design. Although it is a popular choice for manufacturers, due to its simplicity and low manufacturing cost, the standard design has a few disadvantageswhen it comes to high-performance applications. Firstly, there is almost zero freedomto adjust staticcamber, caster orroll-center geometry which as we know from our race programme is absolutely critical for handling on the VWG A5-platform cars. The otherdrawback for high-performance use is that as this layouttends to transmit noise and vibration from the road directly into the body shell, manufacturers have to add extra noise reduction and isolation mechanisms. In other words, plenty of movement in the original factory soft rubber bushing controlling the lower control arm. ADJUSTABLEDROP LINKS. RACE-PROVEN FOR YOUR ROAD CAR. The RacingLine Adjustable Droplinks are an essential upgrade to any lowered or performance car. WHAT THEY DO. If you’ve lowered your car, our Adjustable Drop Links are an essential upgrade to zero the pre-load on your anti-roll bar geometry, plus add stiffness and precision by replacing the stock rubber joints with ball joints. The drop link attaches the front anti roll bar ends to the front damper. The OEM links were made the length they are for a reason - to compliment the standard ride height. But when you lower ride height, the car will now be pulling your anti roll bar ends up, pushing it out of its operating window, and forcing the link to sit at a sharper angle. Solid, motorsport-spec ball joint ends mean much more direct response when turning in to corners. These links were developed for our race cars to allow the anti roll bar to work the way it should. Adjusting the height of droplinks to the equivalent of the lowering amount is a must. Available in two lengths: 250mm for almost all applications. Or, 200mm length for cars running our TrackSport suspension or any other coilover kit with adjustable sway-bar perch. ADJUSTABLE 30mm of adjustable length to zero preload on the Anti Roll Bar. Choice of two lengths to suit different ride heights. It uses solid billet aluminium mounts secured into beautiful, ultra-stiff 3K-twill carbon fibre link bars to drastically stiffen the rear of the chassis.Modern cars like the Golf run a pretty stiff laser-welded body-shell. Up front, the chassis is very rigid between the suspension tops, but at the rear there is much more chassis flex which negatively affects vehicle handling in hard use, especially when combined with stiff suspension or under the sort of loadings that track use puts on the car. The new RacingLine Rear Body Brace solves this issue by locking the crucial hard points together. By reinforcing and tying the rear strut towers together, the brace helps to maintain proper suspension geometry under heavy cornering loads. Remove the body-shell flex, and the suspension geometry can work as it was designed to do.Despite the added stiffness, this improved handling performance comes without sacrificing any ride quality or introducing any additional noise, vibration, or harshness into the cabin. The clever design means that installation is simple, using existing body mounting points with no drilling needed and no removal of trim required, and is completely reversible.RacingLine haven’t forgotten about practicality either.
