This design has been used to maximise rigidity, pedal feel and overall braking performance. The caliper incorporates a progressive six-piston setup to give great brake balance, and high quality seals increasing resilience to road salts and other corrosive elements. DISCS We use a two-piece floating disc and hat design to efficiently dissipate heat. The friction surface features crescent groves designed to increase bite and remove debris from the pad surface giving the perfect balance between brake feel and longevity. The discs feature internal cooling vanes that draw air from the centre of the disc outward to maximise heat dissipation and minimise heat transfer to the calipers, pads, and brake fluid, which plays an all-important part in providing consistent stopping power for your vehicle. BRAKE PADS We supply our brake kit with Ferodo DS Performance Pads that offer a consistent pedal feel and fantastic braking performance both from cold and when hot. Combined with low wheel dusting, minimal noise characteristics, and low disc and pad wear rates this is the ideal pad compound for general road and track driving. BRAKE LINES Our brake kit is supplied with stainless lines; consisting of a PTFE inner and stainless steel braided outer to eliminate the spongy feel of original rubber hoses, provide superior resistance to corrosion, and offer consistent braking performance. BRAKE FLUID Our brakes are supplied with Motul Dot 5.1 brake fluid; specifically designed for brakes systems with ABS. This is a long-life synthetic brake fluid with superior boiling point qualities to conventional Dot 3 and 4 spec. fluids. ECS Tuning ECS TUNING - Audi B8 Brake Cooling Duct Set
If you commonly drive your Audi on the track or brake at high speed, your brakes are prone to fade due to lack of cool air flowing over the rotor and can also lead to reduced brake life. The ECS Tuning, in-house designed and engineered brake cooling duct kit is an easy to install, effective way to reduce brake temps. The scoops channel air from underneath the car, directly to the rotor for enhanced cooling. Our polymer ducts attach to the lower front control arm with 6061-T6 black anodized billet aluminum support brackets for a secure fit. Compared to the common Macan duct retrofit, the direct fit ECS Tuning ducts sit lower and attach to the control arm instead of the tie rod, resulting in more accurate travel with the spindle and more air being ducted to where it counts. Product Details ECS introduces our own in-house engineered complete Stage 1 braking solution for your Special Edition MKIV. This bolt-on upgrade replaces your 256mmx22mm rotors with massive 306mmx22mm two-piece cross-drilled and slotted ECS rotors. A larger diameter brake rotor increases braking force, much like a longer wrench will increase the torque applied to a stubborn bolt. Bigger rotors don't only help your vehicle stop, it'll have others stopping to see how good they look behind your favorite wheels. Cross-drilling and slotting a rotor increases a rotor's cooling and cleaning capacity for reduced brake fade, meaning a more consistent pedal during spirited driving sessions. We then paired these rotors with black anodized brake brackets to move braking force away from the center of the axle, further increasing your braking leverage.
