This valve kit is an evolution of the FMARSDV dump valve we market for the 8P chassis RS3. It was developed for those who have tuned, or plan to tune, their 8S chassis Audi TTRS or 8V chassis Audi RS3 in excess of 450hp. Audi have seen fit to not change the design of the OEM dump valve from the previous RS3, so the same issues are carried over to the new 8V chassis, namely it was observed that cars over 450bhp were randomly getting errors from the stock solenoid dump valve not functioning. Whilst the stock valve will operate as designed, with the boost level necessary for 450bhp the stock valve couldn’t move the volume of air it needed to, so the ECU was seeing too great a positive boost in the MAP readings between gearchanges and assuming the stock valve wasn’t functioning correctly. We looked closely at this issue, and noted that there would be no real fix for this as the size of the hole for the valve is too small in the stock elbow. We decided that we would re-design and produce our own elbow, allowing a much larger DV port, which in turn would allow fitment of a larger valve to take advantage of it. We also improved the internal flow of the elbow and removed restriction within the valve. The elbow design has been changed by Audi to accommodate a different throttle body, so our design has changed too. *Please note this WILL NOT fit 2019 engine DNWA With the engine management on this engine being MAP based rather than MAF based, which is unlike many other Audi engines, we have also incorporated the option into the kit, of being able to run as a recirculation valve or with an atmospheric discharge/blow off. This oil catch tank kit is the product of many months of intensive research and development by our in-house development team, and the end result is by far the most complete oil collection system currently on the market. Not only is it beautifully designed, it has been created to capture the maximum amount of harmful contaminants, including oil deposits, unused fuel vapours and moisture, all of which would ordinarily make their way back through to the inlet of the engine. Extensive testing has proven our oil catch tank kit's ability to effectively reduce sludge and carbon build up, in turn allowing the Tiguan 2.0 TSI engine to both breathe and perform more efficiently. It can therefore be viewed as a genuine performance enhancing product and one we recommend any owner seriously consider, particularly if they are planning more advanced power tuning at a later date. The 0.4l (400cc) catch tank boasts a slew of features intended to make it both easy to check and simple to drain, including a dipstick for level inspection and a well placed drain tap. The stock PCV on the TFSI engine is quite fragile and over time, or when running lots of boost, the diaphragm inside can rip which can result in excessive blowby entering the inlet manifold at idle (smoking from the tailpipe) or a loss of boost when driving, which can cause other problems. Traditionally we fit a catch can to remove the PCV entirely and catch the oil vapours from the engine as seen here: FMMK5CTC and FMMK5CT. But if you want a cheaper and simpler solution, you can delete the PCV and divert the breathing to the rear cam cover outlet only, by using our Forge Motorsport PCV Delete kit. Simply put, it removes the PCV and links the two internal ports together which emulates what happens inside the stock PCV when the engine is on boost, but without any fragile components to break or split. This completely isolates the inlet manifold from the cam cover. Excess crankcase pressure is vented from the crankcase through the PCV system, where it is drawn into the intake manifold and returned by the engine. This recirculated air contains aerated oil from the crankcase which is burned by the engine. Turbo charged engines often draw significant amounts of oil into the engine through the PCV system. This oil catch tank system removes aerated oil so that it can be drained and recycled. The kit is suitable for intallation to the 2 litre FSi engines such as in the VW MK5 Golf , MK5 Golf Edition 30 and SEAT Leon Cupra (not for engine codes CCTA CBFA). This oil catch tank kit is the product of many months of intensive research and development by our in-house development team, and the end result is by far the most complete oil collection system currently on the market. Not only is it beautifully designed, it has been created to capture the maximum amount of harmful contaminants, including oil deposits, unused fuel vapours and moisture, all of which would ordinarily make their way back through to the inlet of the engine. Extensive testing has proven our oil catch tank kit's ability to effectively reduce sludge and carbon build up, in turn allowing the Golf Mk5 GTI's TSI engine to both breathe and perform more efficiently. It can therefore be viewed as a genuine performance enhancing product and one we recommend any Mk5 GTI owner seriously consider, particularly if they are planning more advanced power tuning at a later date. The 0.4l (400cc) catch tank boasts a slew of features intended to make it both easy to check and simple to drain, including a dipstick for level inspection. The design of the kit has also been carefully considered, hence its inner tube which is constructed from anti-static smooth fuel resistant nitrile rubber. This is paired with an outer cover made from reinforced stainless steel wire braid (a Forge specialty), specifically a partial inner braid and a full cover outer braid.
