Forge Motorsport - Turbo Blanket for Mini, Citroen DS3 (Pre 2016 Only), and Peugeot 207/208 GTI

The Forge Motorsport FMTUBL4 has been specifically designed for the Mini R56 stock turbo charger, and also fits the Peugeot 207/208 GTI. This turbo blanket is designed to isolate the radiant heat produced by the turbocharger.

The stock Mini heat shield is inadequate and can result in warping the standard air scoop located in the bonnet.

This design has been created to withstand the harshest of environments and proven to withstand temperatures up to 2500 °f of radiant heat which will assist in protecting and prolonging the life of engine components.

Design innovation keeps the heat of the exhaust gases contained within the hot side of the turbocharger, away from the cool side and the intake path which helps reduce turbo lag and air intake temperatures resulting in more power.

Please note that a turbo blanket will lose its flexibility over the first few heat cycles as the material cures, so once fitted it should not be routinely removed as this can cause damage to the blanket.
