If you increase the performance of your engine, you need to ensure your fuel system can deliver the goods or you’re going to have a bad day! Upgrading the fuel pump is the first step, but doing this alone will usually result in excessive fuel pressure, especially at idle. This is because the factory Bosch regulators typically don’t flow enough to support larger fuel pumps, especially with turbo E85 setups that demand high fuel flow rates. Rather than replacing the entire fuel rail, or using an adaptor with a separate fuel pressure regulator, simply clipping in the FX-S 8051 will allow you to run a much larger pump setup even with the factory rail. And if you need to adjust the fuel pressure, that’s no problem - unlike the fixed-pressure Bosch regulators, the FX-S can be adjusted from 1.4bar to 5bar. Like all GFB FX regulators, the FX-S 8051 is compatible with pump gas, Ethanol, or Methanol, and also incorporates a soft Teflon valve seat (rather than metal on metal) that will always positively seal and hold fuel pressure on shut down for reliable engine startups. The double layer diaphragm has twice the reinforcing material of the single layer type used in most regulators, and as a result the burst strength exceeds 1000psi! The compact size of the GFB FX regulators conceals a large flow capacity, and the multiple ports allow for a variety of fuel system setups including multiple rails and gauge/pressure sensor monitoring. Internally, like all GFB products you’ll find unique features and small touches that make the difference between a good product, and a great one. For example, we use a double-layer, double-reinforced diaphragm with a burst strength exceeding 1000psi (68BAR)! Unlike others that use a metal-to-metal valve seat, the FX regulators feature a replaceable soft Teflon valve seat that helps retain fuel pressure longer after the car is shut down for easier re-starting. We even went to the trouble of adding an o-ring sealed spring hat to ensure no boost/vacuum leakage through the spring adjusting screw.     The T9380 is the latest addition to the DV+ range of diverter valves from GFB (Go Fast Bits). It is specifically designed as a complete replacement for the newer generation of Continental brand OEM diverter valves found in late-model VW and Audi vehicles. Unlike the earlier generation diverter valves manufactured by Pierburg, the newer Continental valves cannot be disassembled and integrated into a DV+. Therefore, GFB developed the T9380 with a low-profile integrated solenoid as a complete replacement for the Continental diverter valve, enabling a hassle-free installation with no clearance issues. Whilst the latest generation of OEM diverter valves have become more reliable, there is always a performance trade-off due to their operational method and plastic construction. When GFB engineers performed boost leak testing on the OEM diverter valve in a VW Mk8 Golf R, they found the leak was significantly larger than in earlier generations. This excessive leaking is due to the emerging trend of manufacturers mounting diverter valves remotely on plastic piping rather than directly on the turbocharger. A plastic valve mechanism closing onto a plastic seat resulted in the largest OEM diverter valve leak we’ve seen yet at 28L/min at 1 Bar of boost. Even with the Viton face seal (featured on all DV+ pistons), the plastic OEM seat face was found to be so uneven that it was impossible to achieve a reliable seal. The T9380 successfully addresses this issue by incorporating an integral piston seat machined into its body. This design ensures a proper seal, even on uneven plastic OEM seats. Sharper throttle response, faster boost recovery after brief throttle lift Factory electronic diverter valves are binary in operation – they’re either open or shut. Your throttle, however, isn’t. When you make small throttle adjustments, the binary operation of the factory diverter results in abrupt changes in power delivery, which is the very definition of poor throttle response.     designed to improve boost control   Suits WRX STI 1999-2021 The WGA is a high-performance bolt-on internal wastegate actuator designed to bring boost on sooner and hold it longer! The WGA is all about increasing the “area under the boost curve”. With a larger diaphragm than the OEM actuator, the WGA has more “control authority” over the wastegate flap. This makes it harder for exhaust backpressure to blow the wastegate open during spool up and at high RPM, two areas of the boost curve where the factory actuator can be overwhelmed. This benefit is particularly useful with Subaru’s factory “2-port” boost control system, which cannot effectively shut off pressure to the wastegate during spool up. Supplied with 3 springs and a unique turnbuckle pre-load adjustment, the base boost pressure can be configured and adjusted from 5psi to 24psi for the best possible boost control. Read on for more technical information on wastegate springs, and how the correct spring selection can improve performance. The WGA features a longer stroke, shorter height, and more adjustment than its rivals. WGA part # 7305 is designed to bolt on to Subaru WRX STI models from MY99-21 and will also fit most single-scroll IHI VF turbos. The 5psi and 10psi springs are installed for a base pressure of 15psi, and the 7psi spring is included in the packaging for further tuning options.
