The turbo muffler delete kit for the Hyundai I20N, this kit replaces the original restrictive compressor outlet with our smooth and turbulence free solution. The OEM part is located on the outlet of the turbo compressor and its only function is to eliminate as much of the engines acoustics as possible. Where it does a good job of quietening down the audible sounds from the turbo it also disrupts the airflow in an area where it’s not needed. With Forge Motorsports expertise in this area, we have developed a kit which has removed this baffled chamber in favour with our CNC machined billet adaptor which now creates a smooth transition and uninterrupted air flow track to the intercooler, this aids to increase airflow to the engine adding extra performance especially on tuned vehicles. PLEASE NOTE: This Oil Cooler Kit has been designed for use in conjunction with the Forge Motorsport front mount intercooler (FMINT500). It will not fit with the OEM intercooler. Forge Motorsport cannot confirm fitment with any other manufacturers' aftermarket intercooler. The Forge Motorsport oil cooler kit for the Fiat 500/595/695 uses a custom fabricated oil cooler with a large core dimension of 165(w) x 200(h) x 47mm(d). Although there are lots of universal oil coolers on the market, this oil cooler has been specifically designed to fit perfectly in the Fiats OEM intercoolers location, The oil cooler is manufactured at Forge Motorsport’s HQ in Gloucestershire, England by our highly skilled fabricators and carries a lifetime warranty*.Sitting in full air flow and mounted correctly with the oil flowing into the top of the oil cooler and exiting though the lower outlet, this avoids any chance of cavitation occurring within the oil cooler. Many people mount their oil coolers incorrectly which in turn stops them from working as well as they could. The oil filter housing on modern Fiat engines does not allow for the previously common take off plates to fit under the filter and divert oil into an oil cooler mounted elsewhere on the vehicle. Instead they now use an oil to water cooling ‘block’ bolted to the front of the engine, and in many cases an undersized filter or a paper drop in element, which prevents easy fitting of an oil cooler. As many people have found, if the vehicle is tuned or driven hard, oil temperatures can rocket to over 120°C (250°F) being easily achieved, which is close to the point that engine oil starts to break down. Therefore, it is essential to fit a Forge Motorsport oil cooler to your modified Fiat 500. Forge Motorsport have designed a CNC machined billet adaptor that replaces the oil to water cooling block. Although it still allows coolant to circulate, it more importantly offers two AN-10 take offs which allow fitment of the supplied oil cooler lines between the cooler itself and the Fiats engine oil galleries. In turn, this means oil temperatures can be significantly reduced resulting in an engine that can be worked harder for longer. The whole oil cooler unit has been designed to use the OEM intercoolers ducting to ensure maximum airflow is achieved creating the most superior oil kit on the market that is 100% plug and play. FMOC11 has been developed with the same engineering expertise that is applied to our Mini Challenge Oil coolers, these see extensive driving over the race season calendar, so we are proud to give the I30N the same motorsport treatment. Lowering your oil temps on and off the track whilst providing a product that does not skimp on quality, so much so that it is backed by our Forge Lifetime Guarantee* With our extensive range of performance parts out on the market allowing the limits of the i30N/Veloster N to be pushed in the chase for top power gains, the addition of power and speed creates heat. Rising oil temperatures will result in only one outcome, a reduction of sufficient lubrication of your engines internal components. Therefore, the FMOC11 is a must have product for the keen driver, the location of the oil cooler radiator at the front of the vehicle’s radiator grill allows for superior air flow. During our development of this product we have seen oil temperatures reduced significantly. The Hyundai oil cooler has its inlet and outlets placed in the correct position for optimum flow , when oil coolers are fitted upside-down this can lead to cavitation (air locks) within the system, this can over a prolonged period of time lead to engine fatigue and potentially internal component damage due to insufficient engine lubrication. Unlike many oil cooler kits, the FMOC11 keeps the factory oil to water cooler in position. This essentially doubles your engines oil cooling. We’ve also developed the kit to use a bespoke laser cut aluminium bracket which makes for perfect fitment to the i30N crash bar. Supplied with the kit are 2x pre-assembled, high quality double braided AN-8 oil lines. We’ve incorporated a thermostat that is built into the oil cooler sandwich plate, this has been set to open at 85C as this was observed to be the optimal working temperature of the oil cooler when testing, this means the engine is working at its most efficient oil temperature range however hard you push the vehicle.
