Constructed from 63.5mm / 2.5" T304 stainless steel pipework, the resonator delete pipe has been designed to improve the soundtrack of the Golf R (non-GPF model) without replacing the entire cat-back system. This low cost upgrade requires the OE cat-back to be cut. The Scorpion part then replaces the original centre silencer. Audi S3 8V Resonator Delete Pipe Kit including facelift This kit replaces the standard centre resonator in the exhaust system which usually reduces exhaust notes by filtering the flow, causing a turbulent air flow. By removing it and replacing it with one of our kits you can increase your exhaust flow to enhance the exhaust note and increase performance. Quite simply our kits are designed for the person who wants an increase in performance and sound without the cost involved with a full replacement exhaust system. With the incredible flexibility of restoring the car to its original state with no lasting changes, removing the need to void any warranties or agreements. What makes our systems different? Quite simply we want our systems to be THE BEST and UNIQUE, here is what sets us apart: – Our kit immediately opens out from the 65mm front pipe to 70mm, this immediate increase allows for higher flow, a deeper more sporty exhaust tone and enhances the pops and bags associated with the DSG gear change. – The Tube is 1 single piece high grade 304 Stainless steel piece tube. It is CNC mandrel bent for precision fit this also means the smoothest and highest capacity flow possible. The hanger is TIG welded again from the highest quality 304 stainless steel. – Our kit is designed to be reversible and includes everything you need not only to fit the kit but also to put it back to stock should you need to. Most other kits will require you to purchase additional sleeves or clamps if you want to return the car to stock. – Beautiful brushed finish, yes we know it’s only a resonator delete kit but in our opinion, any part for your car should be well manufactured and well finished and shows the manufacturer cares about the product they are producing. – So why don’t other kits do this? Quite simply – COST. It is cheaper to manufacture a kit out of smaller diameter pipe. Moreover, there being limited places with the capability to mandrel bend 70mm pipe into our intricate design. That is why you will never see the kinks or thinning of the pipe on the bends on our kits. This also means our kits are suitable for stage 2 and 3 software when accompanied by other supporting hardware. Scorpion is pleased to announce a range of exhaust options for the AUDI S3 8Y Sportback. Available for the application is a T304 stainless steel 80mm resonated or non-resonated, valved or non valved CAT/GPF back high flow exhaust system. The system has been developed with a high flow profile and an acoustic rear silencer to eliminate drone but enhance performance as well as soundtrack. The lighter than OE system can be selected with 114mm polished Daytona tailpipes or our new premium quality 114mm Carbon Ascari tailpipes. Like all Scorpion products the Audi system holds a lifetime guarantee to the original purchaser. One of the VAG group of companies Audi really got noticed as producers of performance road cars in the early 80’s with their release of the legendary Audi Ur Quattro the world’s first all-wheel drive turbo production car. A real game changer which went on to win numerous world rally championships and sowed the seeds for their future high performance road cars. Scorpion has a heritage of producing high quality performance exhausts for these legends of the 80’s through to the highly sought-after performance models available now. Scorpions offers an extensive range for the Audi S3 (8Y) 2.0 turbo models. Starting with a 80mm/3.15” Cat/GPF back system available as resonated, non-resonated, valved and non-valved all finished with a choice of polished, black ceramic coated or premium carbon Ascari tailpipes. The various options allow you to build a performance system to suit your individual needs and preferences. A valved and resonated system is more in line with the OE system whilst giving improved performance and a slightly deeper tone this would be our recommended option for a daily drive. At the other end of the scale there is the non-valved and none resonated option for those wanting all out sound and performance.
